President Bola Tinubu will sit “very close” to US President, Donald Trump, at the forthcoming United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) slated for September.

Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim, disclosed this while speaking with State House correspondents after a meeting with President Tinubu at the presidential villa, Abuja, on Wednesday.

This one thinks he's talking to kindergartens. Perhaps Jimoh Ibrahim thinks the other presidents( US, France, Israel etc )that attended the UNGA 2026 are below Tinubu. They lies shamelessly and effortlessly without recourse to any iota of integrity.

Jimoh Ibrahim is unnecessarily too loud and unprofessional for the job he has. He is even louder than the US ambassador. Before him, there were Nigerian ambassadors to the UN who did their jobs without noise. See Amina J. Mohammed as she carries herself. When Jimoh said Tinubu would sit on front row with Trump was when I knew he was being unnecessarily loquacious.

When has any country's delegate sat with another country's delegation at the assembly? Does it even make sense to Jimoh?

Jimoh Ibrahim, your job is not to make noise but get Nigeria good deals through the UN. The mineral deal was a plus. The military cooperation is a plus. Nigeria is a sovereign. It is the likes of Atiku with barrage of baggage who must pander to Trump which Ikemefuna has failed to facilitate, not Tinubu.

The absence of Tinubu from the UNGA for multiple number of times, whereas other countries' leaders were busy presenting the issues of their countries before the world, but our own was busy babysitting in France. We have the most unqualified person occupying the number one seat in Nigeria right now. But we shall overcome them.
