Tinubu and 2027: Where Exactly Are the Block Votes Coming From?

Where exactly will Bola Ahmed Tinubu get the block votes from?

This is the question his supporters need to answer.

Not with propaganda.
Not with insults.
Not with hashtags.
Not with endless excuses.

Where are the votes coming from?

Because beyond the political noise, there is a country full of Nigerians who are tired, angry and economically exhausted.

People who once hoped that a new administration would bring relief are now asking whether the promised "Renewed Hope" has become nothing more than another political slogan.

For many Nigerians, the reality is brutally different.

Food is expensive.

Electricity is expensive.

Transportation is expensive.

Fuel is expensive.

Businesses are struggling.

Families are cutting down on basic necessities.

Young Nigerians are desperately looking for opportunities.

And yet, somehow, the political class continues to behave as though Nigerians should simply endure the pain indefinitely.

Nigerians Are Not Blind

The government can release statements.

Government supporters can produce statistics.

Political appointees can appear on television.

Social-media influencers can defend every policy.

But there is one thing they cannot easily manufacture:

The lived experience of the Nigerian people.

A mother who cannot afford to feed her children does not care about political propaganda.

A worker whose salary disappears before the middle of the month does not care about government slogans.

A small business owner struggling with electricity and operating costs does not care about political arguments.

A young graduate without a job does not care about another press release.

These people are experiencing Nigeria every single day.

And they will eventually have the opportunity to express their judgment at the ballot box.

Then Came the Independence Day Questions

The controversy surrounding President Tinubu's absence from the Independence Day parade has only added another layer to the public debate.

Some Nigerians have questioned the President's physical appearance and ability to participate in demanding public engagements, especially after videos and public appearances that generated discussion about his mobility.

But instead of allowing Nigerians to ask legitimate questions, the political atmosphere quickly became filled with competing narratives.

Then came the talk about an alleged coup.

And Nigerians naturally began asking:

What exactly is going on?

If there is credible evidence of a coup attempt, Nigerians deserve transparency.

If there isn't, then political distractions should not be allowed to take attention away from the real issues confronting the country.

Nigeria has problems that are far too serious to be buried beneath political spin.

The Real Crisis Is Sitting in Nigerian Homes

Forget Abuja political gymnastics for a moment.

Go to the markets.

Go to the motor parks.

Go to the universities.

Go to the offices.

Go to the workshops.

Go to the streets.

Talk to ordinary Nigerians.

That is where the real state of the nation can be found.

Ask a Nigerian parent how much it now costs to feed a family.

Ask a trader what inflation has done to their business.

Ask a worker how much of their salary remains after transportation, food, rent and electricity.

Ask young Nigerians what they think about their future.

The answers may be uncomfortable.

But leadership is not about hiding from uncomfortable questions.

Leadership is about confronting them.

"Give Us More Time" — But How Much More?

One of the most frustrating arguments Nigerians hear is that the government needs more time.

More time for what?

More time for Nigerians to become poorer?

More time for prices to rise?

More time for businesses to close?

More time for families to reduce their meals?

More time for young people to lose hope?

Of course, economic reforms can take time.

Of course, difficult decisions sometimes have to be made.

But government cannot endlessly demand patience from citizens without demonstrating clearly how that patience will produce tangible results.

People can tolerate hardship when they believe there is a credible destination.

What becomes dangerous is when people begin to believe that the hardship has no end.

2027 Will Be the Real Test

This is why 2027 is going to be extremely important.

Tinubu's supporters may believe the administration deserves another term.

They are entitled to that opinion.

But the opposition will ask Nigerians a much simpler question:

**Are you better off today than you were before?**

That question may become more powerful than any campaign slogan.

The ruling party can point to projects.

It can point to reforms.

It can point to investments.

It can point to economic indicators.

But the opposition will point to the price of food.

It will point to electricity bills.

It will point to fuel prices.

It will point to unemployment.

It will point to insecurity.

It will point to the frustration of ordinary Nigerians.

And voters will decide which story reflects their reality.

Political Support Is Not a Permanent Property

Perhaps the biggest mistake any politician can make is assuming that yesterday's political support automatically belongs to tomorrow.

It doesn't.

Votes are not family property.

Votes are not tribal inheritance.

Votes are not permanently owned by political parties.

A voter can support you today and reject you tomorrow.

And if Nigerians genuinely believe that an administration has failed them, no amount of political mathematics will permanently shield that administration from electoral consequences.

That is why the question remains so important:

**Where are the block votes coming from?**

Nigerians Are Angry — But Anger Must Become a Choice

There is enormous frustration across the country.

But frustration alone does not elect governments.

Votes do.

And that means Nigerians must move beyond social-media outrage.

If you believe Tinubu has failed, vote accordingly.

If you believe he has succeeded, vote accordingly.

If you believe another candidate can do better, support that candidate.

If you believe the opposition has no credible alternative, say so.

But Nigerians must stop allowing politicians to treat them as spectators in their own country.

The country belongs to the people.

The government belongs to the people.

And ultimately, political power belongs to the people.

No President Is Above Accountability

Tinubu is entitled to defend his record.

His supporters are entitled to defend him.

His opponents are entitled to criticize him.

But nobody should be above accountability.

The President should be judged by results.

Ministers should be judged by results.

Governors should be judged by results.

Members of the National Assembly should be judged by results.

Political parties should be judged by results.

And voters should judge all of them without fear or sentiment.

Nigeria cannot continue recycling the same political culture while expecting a different outcome.

So, Where Will the Block Votes Come From?

That is the question.

Not because Tinubu has no supporters.

He clearly does.

Not because the opposition is automatically better.

It isn't.

And certainly not because elections are already decided.

They are not.

The question is important because **2027 will ultimately be a battle for the confidence of Nigerians.**

If the Tinubu administration can convince Nigerians that its reforms are working, that the economy is improving, that living standards are recovering and that the country is moving in the right direction, then the President will have a powerful argument for continuity.

But if millions of Nigerians reach the opposite conclusion, then no amount of political noise will change what happens when they enter the voting booth.

The President's biggest opponent may therefore not be another politician.

It may be the lived experience of the Nigerian people.

And that is something no propaganda machine can completely control.

So again, the question remains:

WHERE EXACTLY WILL THE BLOCK VOTES COME FROM?

2027 will answer that question.

Tinubu is not worst. Tinubu is the best among all! He has no oppositions..

All those things you’re saying doesn’t hold water. One thing is for something to be cheap, another thing is having money to buy.

There was a time rice was less than 5k per bag, yet it used to be a special delicacy then. Few people that could afford to eat rice mostly only do so on Sunday's. Compare with today that rice is expensive and yet, people can eat anyhow anyday!

There was a time cement was less than 5k per bag, yet people couldn’t afford money for ordinary blocks. Compare that to the way people now build house with ease today. Lots of young people with houses..

So, relax okay. Tinubu will win widely in 2027! Tinubu has not solved all problems, but for sure he has solved many problems!

Both Obi & Atiku are no match:

Atiku? The man that sold our Nepa and then started a Mikano generator business 🤣

Obi? That one is no where to be found when it comes to good governance..

Both Atiku & Obi were in Pdp under Jonathan when Nigeria students experienced one of the longest ASUU strike ever in Nigeria, what did they do to help the situation? Nothing! Both kept quiet!

Elrufai made Tinubu president by mobilising Northern votes for him and Makinde did anti-party for Tinubu and delivered 460,000 votes to him in Oyo. Says a lot about Tinubu for always turning against his helpers and putting them in detention because they choose to walk away after he betrayed them. Cowardice has no other definition. Before becoming president, he was all over the place begging them for support. The question was where will Tinubu's votes come from?

This happened to Rarara in Abuja yesterday when the APC tried to turn an Independence Day concert into a Tinubu concert.

The "Block votes" are actually coming from those he has favoured their lives and that of their families

Their hope of snatching grabbing and running away which they hold in high esteem and which they truly hope to repeat in 2027 is DOA. There is no human on this Planet who is in the right State of mind should ever think of seeing a faaake certttifficcate hollldderr as their snatched President beyond 2027.

The drums and rythms of rejection is playing from the North to the South. Tge faikures and incompetence is felt even beyond the shores of Nigeria

The faaakkee guru str*tegist must be a OTP. There is no pathway to another round of snatching and grabbing and social media data boiz should continue to hope on more snatching and grabbing

It's futility engaging with many of you on this forum. Secondary school students think better than a lot of you.

Block or bloc voting refers to a class of electoral systems where multiple candidates are elected simultaneously. They do not guarantee minority representation and allow a group of voters to ensure that only their preferred candidates are elected.

I just read the story where 👇
