Why would a man put his eyes in his wife money/income in the first place? undecided

A man is the head of the family, he should take care of the bills in the house, at least 90%, that’s his responsibility. undecided

If you can’t take care of your wife/girlfriend let another man do the job. Don’t come and put someone’s daughter in abject poverty undecided
Poor man don suffer

A woman who loves and respects her husband will not think about those sht if she earns more than him....a good and respectful woman will support her husband no matter what...she will do all she can to cover up for him...moreso this man will not even wait for or depend on her as he will still play his role regardless of the discrepancy

Most men as how. Person go just dey talk lies. How many women actually earn more than their men. Even those who earn do they contribute?

Most will rather see the man they swore to be with (in sickness and health, for richer or poorer) suffer at difficult situations and still refuse to contribute a dime to me family. Money that is vanity at the end of life. Thing is as a woman, what are you hoarding the money for?
No be lie, money is vanity and this women sabi hoard am true true na why every mother or grandmother when die you must see wads of cash stashed somewhere. God help us men oh.

A lot of today's ladies didn't understand what marriage is all about. For them it's social status. Men should wise up. We are dying prematurely largely due to stress acrued from women. An uncooperative lady has a choice of leaving the marriage if she doesn't like the arrangement. Thank you.

IF YOUR MONEY IS YOURS AND HIS MONEY IS OURS, WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU MARRYING HIM FOR?

There is nothing wrong with a woman having money. In fact, every woman should have the capacity to earn, save, invest and build something for herself.

Financial independence is valuable. The problem begins when financial independence is interpreted as “my resources belong exclusively to me, but your resources become a responsibility I am entitled to share.”

Imagine a woman earning ₦2 million every month while her husband earns ₦500,000. She says, “My money is my money. I worked for it.” Fine. But if the same woman expects the man to pay rent, school fees, provide food, handle emergencies, maintain the car, support both families and still prove that he is “a responsible man,” we should at least be honest about the arrangement. She is not asking for equality. She is asking to retain her income while assigning the traditional financial burden to him.

Now reverse the situation. Imagine the man earns ₦2 million while she earns ₦500,000. Suddenly, many people will say, “A man should take care of his family. Her money is her contribution, not her obligation.”

Why should the principle change simply because the gender changed?

A woman earning more than her husband is not a problem. A husband earning more than his wife is not a problem. The problem is when one person's financial strength is treated as personal property while the other person's financial strength is treated as a marital obligation.

Marriage is also too unpredictable for this mentality. A man can be wealthy when you marry him and lose his business five years later. He can lose his job, suffer a financial setback, make a bad investment or simply experience circumstances nobody anticipated.

The same thing can happen to a woman. If your commitment disappears the moment your partner's bank balance does, then perhaps what you were committed to was the lifestyle rather than the person.

There are countless marriages where women contributed significantly to their husbands' success. They supported businesses, sacrificed personal comfort, invested their own money, managed the home during difficult periods and encouraged their husbands when things were going badly. They did not see their husband's success as competition. They saw it as the family's success.

Men should be capable of doing the same for their wives.

If my wife becomes the bigger earner tomorrow, I should not feel threatened. If I become the bigger earner, she should not feel entitled to everything I make simply because I am the man.

The sensible question in marriage is not “Who earns more?”

It is “Are we building together?”

Because marriage is supposed to be a partnership, not a financial arrangement where one person keeps the benefits of independence while the other person carries the obligations of tradition.

Bring your money. I will bring mine. Let us decide together how to build our family, protect our future, invest, support each other and survive difficult seasons.

Money should be a tool for building a life together. It should never become a weapon for one spouse to establish superiority over the other.

If you genuinely want a partner rather than a provider, marry with the mentality of a partner too.

Your mum should have allowed another man do the job for her cuz I'm pretty sure your dad didn't meet up all her needs. The way you gender behave at time as if men owe you everything.

There's nothing wrong in having this opinion as a lady. Men also have their different standards of what they expect in a woman.
What is very risky and might hurt you or hurt an innocent man is not letting your man know, upfront, before marriage, your real view on marital finances. Tell him in clear terms, before marriage, that he's going to take care of all the expenses in the family 100%.
Funny as it may sound, there are many business men and politicians who are looking for ladies like you who have no plans of spending their one naira for their family. They will even be paying the wife salary on top of it.

Seek out such men and marry them and this kind of argument won't be coming up again.

A woman without God in her heart is a disaster to the society .

These are the 2 primordial commandment and duty of a woman ....

1. Women in particular should not engage in vanity (forbidden fruit) for vanity would stifle her feminine essence and cut her off from her unique connection to the Heavenly blessings which men cannot easily access due to their more earthly essence.

2. Be a helper (a channeler of blessings) and a procreation/pleasure Mate to your Husband.

If women can obey and practise these 2 , the world would be a Paradise on earth once again.

Men would prosper enough through her blessing channelling and he would inturn take care of the more delicate woman who should be protected and provided for enough to take care of the home and the children .

This is the right order and so shall it be when the kingdom of God is established on this earth after this fallen society is judged and the earth is purified off these feministic and narcissistic women and their repulsive culture.

If you need a virgin then you will easily find it among the very religious and church girls. These kinds of girls will frustrate your life with religious doctrines. And you must be a church guy too. The next category of girls that you can easily find virgins are the ones around 18 years and still inexperienced and haven't known what they want in life. Apart from these two categories of girls it will be very hard finding virgins. Meeting a virgin beyond these two categories will be a thing of luck and I wouldn't advise you to stick to it or else you may never get married

This is the kinda mentality we are talking about. Did you even read the post well.

We have had cases where a woman has money but hid it just because it's the man's responsibility, her own child died as a result of that mentality. You have the money why can't you save your own child but you refuse because it's not her responsibility. That js a very selfish attitude.
Not only selfish, but wicked and evil

Go back to my earlier post, and you'd find the noun "virginity" is not in isolation; the word is well qualified as used.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your writeup,

Below is a short clip from the Tv series, "young sheldon' which shows the global nature of the issue:

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ARHFPn3xrPw

In response, I encourage you to ponder on these questions:

"Why do women globally feel the need to conserve their resources whilst depending wholly on the man?"

"Is it a biological or social wiring?"

51% is the minimum for a company to have control in a business relationship. And with at least 90% you mentioned, men should have absolute control of their wives, but you will still argue that he can't control you or submit as the case may be.
