It has been confirmed that the co-pilot who attempted to crash the FlyDubai aircraft is an Omani with extremist Jihadist view while the pilot who fought him is an Indian. The initial claim that the pilot is Russian and co-pilot Ukranian was incorrect. So it appears the co-pilot was sacked on his previous job due to his extremist views. FlyDubai apparently employed him without doing any background check 😲😲😲 I think all passengers should sue the Airline for their negligence that put the life of passengers in danger. Even some Nigerian companies carry out background checks on new employees. They contract the whole background check out to 3rd party companies who conclude their investigations into you before you are due for confirmation in 6 months time. (I've experienced it before).

BlueRayDick:I'll never understand what goes on in the heads of these extremists.. How do you allow yourself to be brainwashed to this point? Airline business is very nasty just based on daily operations only, imagine this level of fvckup being added.. These ones will need PR greater than any PR ever done to get back in business again.. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 7:55am On Oct 03 |
CrystalTiger:I think most of those guys just require someone to trigger the hate in their mind with indoctrination and then they go all extremist on every other person who doesn't believe in their extremist views. Imagine people wey Don book FlyDubai airline a month or two months ahead of their trip before this ugly incident happen. Someone like me, I will be going to LinkedIn, FlyDubai website and every other online resource to check the profile of their pilots. I will just be overthinking and hoping they don't assign any pilot that may have extremist views like this Omani guy. Air traveller's will be avoiding their airline like plague for now sef. Cos nobody Wan dey inside plane wey their pilots wey dem no do background checks for dey captiain |

GloriousGbola:You be mm as always I said he will learn. But then you have to focus on what he can do better than other candidates After all he won't be making broadcast in Yoruba if he becomes governor. Is speaking local dialect is a constitutional requirement for being Governor? You have a Hamzat who has sworn allegiance to United States and you're not worried but you're hating a some one that means good for you just because he isn't fluent in his local dialect. |

Spy360:What are those things he can do better? Please provide empirical evidence in that regard |

izzou:You mean he's a US citizen who swore US citizenship oath? That's not news na, I thought everyone knows that since. It had trended when he was selected Sanwoolu's deputy pre-2019 elections. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 9:39am On Oct 03 |
Jamiuokolaa:As a trainee architect, he can reorganise Lagos and deal with the menaces associated with wastes dumping, shanties, housing crisis etc This is just one and I am not even living in Lagos to know more That's not saying he is the best candidate but judging him based on his lack of fluency in locks language is archaic, foolish and petty. That shows those who are targeting him on that ground are petty bgts |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 10:26am On Oct 03 |
izzou:Post-2023 elections it was one of the grounds Gbadebo petitioned the election tribunal. He argued that when Hamzat became a US citizen, the oath he swore required him to renounce Nigerian citizenship and swear allegiance to the United states of America. Hamzat on the other hand argued Nigerian constitution allowed for dual citizenship and he actually hold dual citizenship ( Naija and Yankee). The petition was thrown out Sha because Gbadebo's team couldn't prove beyond reasonable doubt that Hamzat renounced his naija citizenship. I don't think the whole thing will fly in any court in naija Sha. It's a pre-election matter and the new electoral act has already established that such matter won't be ground for the election outcome to be overturned. |

raumdeuter:GRV should have contested LG chairmanship, build up his profile in public service delivery, just like the younger Obasa is doing, I would actually pick him ahead of GRV. |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 11:59am On Oct 03 |
Everybody is free to contest for whatever they choose, there are people that don't have a 10th of his popularity contesting and losing elections all around the country. The more rational thing is to re-echo APC talking points than this pretentious good advice ![]() |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 1:02pm On Oct 03 |
Spy360:So what are the things GRV has shown he can do better which we can see from his professional profile and history? Go and read about Hamzat and Doherty then compare to GRV. Where they are executives, GRV should be an entry level Why can't he address the populace in his local dialect? Dont other governors do that |

Olowunl01:Or he should contest in the location where he can connect with the people. Remove their names paste the profile of all 3 candidates and no will put GRV top choice How does it make sense that in a state you are trying to become governor you cannot communicate in the local language |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 1:10pm On Oct 03 |
raumdeuter:Prof Akintola of MURIC actually has a PhD in Islamic Eschatology (the part of Islamic theology concerned with death, judgment, and the final destiny of the soul/humanity). What were you expecting he would do with his research ? 😂 |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 1:44pm On Oct 03 |
raumdeuter:The business of GRV is governance, and the official language of the country is English. Maybe we'd start arguing that a president should be able to speak all the languages in the country before he can contest. There's no quality of governance that Nigerians want to give in any part of the country that Chinese administrators speaking only Mandarin won't do better in. At the end of the day, we know that all of these shenanigans is simply low-level bigotry, and not about the quality of administration or intention of the candidate. Jimi "Chukwu" Agbaje was a thing.
