Always cancel if u don't want to go.
If u keep making Riders cancel and they pick a bad reason to cancle like Driver Requested Offline or Extra money, u will be cooked.

This is now the average earnings in Abuja on Sundays.
46600 + 4000(offline) = 50,600
Fuel - 23050
Profit = 27,550

Any further drop in the price/KM, you can't double the fuel.

I was aggressive with that KM , and avoided some crazy long trips with very low fare.
I focused just on trips of 7km-20km max.
Anything above that will mostly give you 250-270/km which will affect the earning.

Just sharing for anyone that finds it useful

You did well. Infact better than me cos even though I did fewer trips, If I add my offline distance join, I waka well be that o.

I also use fuel and double my fuel amount is what I make after strict trip selection and hustle. Any mistake like this, you don Dey loss be that.

The price per km is far better in Lagos than Abuja. I sat down once sometimes ago and calculated bolt pricing as against Indrive and I discovered that 300/310 per km is the minimum way to go on Indrive in Abuja. Anything below that and you’re running at a loss.

Before fuel price got like this, I make x2.5 but now na x2 and the hustle and stress increase.

Below is what I made yesterday (Sunday)
Net: 35710 + 22,450 offline = 58,160
Fuel: 28k
Profit: 30,160

How many hours of work did it take you to achieve this please?

11hrs inclusive the long time spent in checking good ride requests.

From my point of view, this is mostly achievable only on Saturdays and Sundays.

At least let Abuja drivers know the current way to get profit.cos a whole lot are still accepting lesser/KM and spoiling business

Morning bosses. Pls how do you guys deal with phones overheating while using the Bolt Driver app and Google Maps?

Mine overheats a lot even when I'm running just these two apps. And most times the apps will just close. And then I'd have to turn off the phone and wait for sometime. It can be really frustrating cuz sometimes it does this mid ride, and then I'll start begging riders to give me directions.

I use a Samsung S20 with a Snapdragon chip. It's 6gm RAM.

Clear your phone memory to get more space/storage

You can buy a Pocket mifi then connect your phone

GPS, Mobile network, Background apps etc are the main culprits.

I use my MTN mifi with Phone and Android screen in my car to reduce phone stress

Thanks boss for the response. Do you sync the phone to the Android so that once you receive a ride request it just opens on the Android screen. Or do u type in the rider's destination on the Android screen?

don't keep your phone on your dashboard when it's sunny.

you can get an AC vent phone holder so the AC cools it when driving.

not much else you can do

Samsung S series and overheating, annoying part is, the phone will stop charging and you don’t want to waste fuel to ON AC so the phone can at least charge a little so you can be able to accept work 😂. I quickly switched to iPhone cox of this problem but the issue I have with iPhone is, notifications doesn’t appear on full screen and you tend to miss some juicy trips.

Try get Samsung A series, it’s better than the old S series except if you can afford S24 upwards.

I used Android Auto before, but now i sync just my Map from phone to the Android screen

It has GPS & Antenna, that makes it easier to navigate, Play Spotify, etc with using my phone.

Very annoying. I can't even run full 2 trips without the phone closing the apps. I'd then have to switch it off for it to cool down.

I greet everybody o, how market?

My advice to bros wey phone too dey hot

1. On Indrive, try look for trips that have good N/km and put on your AC esp mid day when the sun dey look for who him Wan kpai

2. Don't run too many apps, esp games at a time

3. Restart your phone once in a while to clear the memory

4. If you haven't reset the phone in 3 to 4 years since you bought it, now is the time

5. Driving with AC & driving without during heavy sun get diff. Any small thing go just dey make you vex with the heat & sweat. Man gats make money but......

6. Try and get Bluetooth ear pod, when on a long trip switch off your phone screen and let the audio from MAPS direct you in ear. The screen being ON for long is one major reason when the phone overheats

It's an old phone. The chip and battery can't take the stress any longer. The main technology that stresses older phones when they arr not actively being used is simply its CONNECTIVITY options.

That 3G/4G/LTE connection is the worst. It is better to offload all that throughput and link it via a small external mifi as another user has stated especially as your phone screen has to always be on display during rides.

Get a MiFi and your issues will be drastically reduced. Get the multi-simcard version for versatility. Never use your direct phone's internal modem if its already struggling to keep cool.

Boss, Mifi is a small portable wifi device.

Its single purpose is to provide internet for your devices.

That Snapdragon chipset no dey like anything related to heat, it will misbehave. As others has suggested, constant ventilation is a must if not the kind heat it will be generating fit burn person. I remember when I was using Redmi note 10Pro with that Snapdragon chipset. The thing Sabi foreclosing apps like mad especially when you're using GPS and bolt or Indrive together.

Get a small towel, soak the towel in water and squeeze the water out. Remove your phone pouch, fold the towel and place your phone on it. It works like magic.
