Rescuing kidnapped victims means that either the kidnappers are arrested or neutralised. Any rescue without that means a ransom was paid for the release of the victims. You guys should keep on voting for incompetent, brain-damaged leaders because of tribalism and hate. You will be next to be kidnapped; it's just a matter of time, as it has now become a very lucrative business in Nigeria. |

That is what happens in most cases, while the government lies to the public about a so-called rescue. It is a pity. |

Same thing happened to Oyo kidnap victims; relatives of the Fulani kidnappers were swapped with the victims after initial attempts to rescue victims stalled as the armed kidnappers resisted and neutralized some of the rescue team, Nigeria is in big trouble |

The question is who was the money delivered to? Law enforcement officers, government officials or the kidnappers? In cases we’ve heard, there are often collaboration between these groups of people when it comes to hostage “rescue” in Nigeria. |

Nigeria Security Agencies claimed that they rescued the Victims. The truth is gradually coming out. Every Agency in this Country has been Compromised . They are even using the Lives and Future of the youths to play Politics. Imagine your Child spending 5 - 7 yrs in School, on his way to Service, he was kidnapped. This is painful. |

Very SHITTY journalism. The woman said the person she sent TRAVELLED to Imo to pay ransom. And when he got there, the victim was RELEASED. First of all, WHY did the guy have to TRAVEL deliver the ransom? KIDNAPPERS routinely use POS and bank accounts in Foreign Countries. Then why did the Naira have to be CONVERTED to Dollars? WHY? Finally, the fact that he went to Imo to attempt to pay ransom does NOT mean he PAID it. Plus, why did the interviewer FAIL to ask the Mama to call the person who went to pay the RANSOM so we can hear his own account? In fact, he's the one that SHOULD have been interviewed in the FIRST place. So he can PROVIDE details of his interactions with the KIDNAPPERS. IF ransom was PAID for the release of 21 people, it'd mean that the GOVERNMENT paid it. And this mama was SCAMMED by her family member. We hope to bear DIRECTLY from the victims to see what they have to say. And we need MORE info from Security Operatives. Let's NOT hear that they escaped. And IF the government is using Nigeria's money to pay RANSOM then we're all in TROUBLE. |

Namaster:Government uses our money to pay ransoms all the time. Have you forgotten that 10 billion naira was paid by the government when the students in the catholic school in Niger state were kidnapped? |

NYSC needs to be scrapped. It has outlived any usefulness it had. Hope the kids have been redeployed to their homelands. |

Best way to deal with kidnapping is to freeze the accounts of everyone connected to the kidnap victims. It was tried in Italy and it worked very well |

iwaeda:This story is not adding up! No kidnapper will ask them to put money in the account! I think this woman should be interrogated… |

Enugurangers:Then the rate of illiteracy in the rural areas of Nigeria will rise ,as would the rate of mortality. Many of your teachers and other staff like doctors and company do not want to work in rural areas in Nigeria. NYSC is why many parts of Nigeria have teachers and doctors and nurses If not for NYSC, some of your relatives would have had to travel long distances to get treated properly and many kids would have no teachers in their schools at all at all. |

Govt have completely failed Nigeria in all ramifications ...check all the kidnap rescue srory ....the victims can not give an experience of gun shot or shootout that led to their rescue What military do is simply pickup logistic and claim they rescue the victims halfway At this point what VDM said at the NBA summit adds up ...govt & security are complicit in all these crimes |

Bosman17:What the woman was trying to say is that, the money they want to give the kidnappers was asked to go and change it to dollars. |
