I'm just calculating what #15trn could do for this country 😡😡😡

Hospitals, schools, existing roads, Haba..

Madness, total madness ffs
I'm guessing the money was being released in tranches.

Normally there should be a Senate probe for this level of incompetence.

At the very least Umahi should tender his resignation Monday morning..
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Ibime(m): 8:03pm On Oct 11
Umahi ain't resigning anything. This was always the likely outcome and partly planned from the start with a degree of certainty. Tinubu is the one who sells the vision, both Tinubu and Umahi know the feasibility is low. But it's easier to sell a coastal road that develops the whole South than tell people you want to develop Lagos and Ogun coast only. City boy is not just a name, Tinubu is Lagos centric.

Omor...would be super crazy if this outcome was designed from the inception of the project.
The Environmental and Social Impact Assessment report they eventually relased released 3 months ago for the Coastal project only covered 2 phases of the project ; Ahmadu bello way VI to Eleko (47.5km ) and Eleko to Ode-Omi; Lagos-Ogun boarder (55.5km).

Isn’t it strange that for a 700km project , they only released ESIA report for less than 15% of the project ?

These people knew what they were doing from onset , they only succeeded in making a foool out of their blind supporters and apologists . We go school and we can put 1 and 2 together .

This man really finished Nigerian home developers.

There is a reason we don't have side windows in the UK, and when we do they are placed high in rectangular slits, or frosted over for zero visibility. There is no way I should be in my house and my side neighbour is watching film of everything going on in my house

You know the game . Some of their supporters who are smart know the game too, but dem no really care .

This is just Tinubu’s version of Buhari building a useless railway to Maradi; a rail line that passes through Kano, Jigawa and Katsina states .

Duke spilled the beans when he spoke of the land reclamation going on across the coastal road.
That I think is the major reason behind the coastal road.......Real Estate appreciation and development.
I recollect the beef between Tinubu and Sanwo early this year due to quick and unapproved estates/land approvals along that axis.
Eventually most approvals were recalled/suspended probably because they didn't go through the God father himself.

Omo ! Now that you mentioned it ,looks like the biggest winners in this whole coastal road project will be the real estate developers and people in government giving out approval for property development along that axis .

They are definitely going to make a new set of billionaires amongst themselves considering the estates and people’s ancestral lands they took over all in the name of developing the coastal road . Chai !

Nigerian builders are engrossed with aesthetics than functionality, including safety and privacy. They spend ridiculous amounts of money in designs but the functionality can’t honestly match an efficiency apartment here in the states.

I think I have said it before that I visited someone in Lagos and while he bragged about his house, I was already looking at 100 ways to die inside that same house, especially with little children. It did not take 2 months after my visit I was told a member of his household fell from the stairs and dislocated his elbow.

Selling fake drugs and poisonous or adulterated food should be treated as a crime against humanity, punishable by the most severe penalties permitted by law. Anyone who knowingly manufactures or sells products capable of killing innocent people for the sake of profit has no regard for human life.

The tragic death of Comrade Etimbuk Daniel, the immediate past SUG President of Akwa Ibom State University, reportedly at an NYSC orientation camp in Enugu State, is a painful reminder of the dangers posed by counterfeit medication. Nafdac needs to do more.

I wish this was even the case, they score poor on both counts.

I find most to be of poor taste. Decor is too glossy and shiny and lights are too bright. Plus all surfaces are hard and slippery with hard edges on everything which represents a fall and death risk as you've observed previously.

Is there a country with more low in taste rich people than Nigeria?

Who's paying $1.2m for that dump? You would get much better houses in other parts of Africa at far less than that.

So just so we are clear, if ronu people are asking why other state government didn't develop their states in 10yrs time while Lagos starts enjoying the benefits of this coastal road, can other Nigerians lay claim to the benefits of the road?

Seeing as it was built with Nigeria's money.

Abi nor be so this conversation been dey go?
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 4:11am On Oct 12
When Rufai was screaming for EIA from that fat bastard umahi apc people were mocking him.

This man has practically given Lagos and other SW states an unfathomable advantage over the rest of Nigeria.

Major ministries, security and agencies are headed by people from his tribe.
I thought buhari was horrible with his broad focus on northerners, this man has mainly focused on one tribe.

God is truly merciful.

The coastal road was always a white elephant project. It is unfortunate that a country under financial stress is still indulging in mismanagement to such a scale.

The crazy thing about this white elephant project is that even people who are trained engineers but APC supporters thought there’s nothing wrong with Umahi not providing clarity on status of ESIA for the whole project .

They even insulted the AeiseTV reporter back then and classified her question about the ESIA as opposition journalism .

Today Umahi is telling us they found out issues with the soil structure of some parts of the coastal road’s original route .

It’s just a shame that even as the matter Dey like this , they will likely still attempt to do damage control trying to explain the mess up away

Once again, I ask, is Nigeria really poor or are we poor at managing resources.

APC really carry us handicap back to back without remorse 😭😭😭

Nigerian Air and Coastal Road 😭😭😭

OasisX, when you say you wn start campaign for here again abeg? I wn check something first..
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 7:04am On Oct 12
The only reason Umahi blew the whistle on this would have been to prevent the opposition from beating them to it.

Seems they underestimate the foolishness of their dutiful online slaves...they could have insisted it was a lie, and their slaves would have helped them defend the lie.

Na ladder. Those Tinubu and Wike of today also asslicked someone years ago

So where dont you asslick? Is it in corporate or in business? Na normal part of life and relationship management
It's a flawed system that builds and only reward praise singers. That is why normal citizens might be wailing because of policies enacted by an administration, meanwhile the person that spearheaded the policy in question will not know or think it's a joke because none of his/her allies and aides will be able to tell them the truth.
Tell them the truth and get sidelined? grin

The business part is quite different, depending on the type of business.

I run multiple small scale businesses, I don't asslick anybody to patronize, if you don't patronize me, others will patronize me.

I'll never asslick you, hype, or famz you just to get you to patronize. The quality is there, if you cannot patronize because of the quality of the stuff you want to get, fvck off.

Although, like I said earlier, it depends on the type of business. My approach will not work in some sectors.

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by PDPGuy: 8:47am On Oct 12
This Tinubu government is corruption on steroids! You can’t tell me that this “coastal road” project fiasco doesn’t paid this government in a worse light than the ones of IBB and Abacha COMBINED 🤦🏽‍♂️

Roland17:

Both can be correct. For our population we are not as productive as many other countries.

We rank relatively high in total GDP and total production but when you factor in our population and calculate things per capita, whether GDP, GNI or use HDI you will see that we rank quite low.

And a poor man can still be wasteful. I have seen gatemen and typists who waste their little salary on olosho and drinking while their children are being sent out of school for not paying school fees.

We are relatively poor but things would not have been this bad if our leaders were not criminally corrupt. Another thing I would agree with is that with better leadership we would have developed our productivity and wealth over the past decades. So the leadership is in a big way contributing to the perpetuation of poverty. The countries that are wealthy do not have 2 heads.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 10:02am On Oct 12
Can any APC supporter tell us what will happen to the proposed rail line they intend to build alongside the Coastal highway? Will it also "detour inward" alongside the road ?
