Peter Obibis actually worse than the average Nigerian politician Peter Obibis the only LUNATIC as a governor that refused to pay lecturers year long salary. Same Peter obi is the lunatic that refused to pay doctors for over a year. This same cursed lunatic Peter Obi refused to pay water corporation workers over 3 years salary. The foolish Peter Obi increased tuition by over 300%. Same lunatic gave N4 billion to Orient Petroleum till date it as not produce as single litre of fuel yet his supporters insult Dangote. Same lunatic Peter Obi is the only madness fool to invest in alcohol n be bragging about it, today the investment is worth nothing. Same Peter Obi is the only lunatic to be caught as governor ferrying raw cash ,N250 million on behalf of a contractor to Lagos n on getting to Lagos instead of taking the money to the contractors office too the money to his own personal house. Which governor as ever dared to be this lunatic in the history of Nigeria. Tell me one.aside Peter Obi. aworatak: |

If I manage a company, save ₦100 million and take an external loan of ₦20 million, would it make financial sense to conclude that I am still financially indebted without considering the ₦100 million in savings at my disposal? Nobody is disputing Peter Obi’s savings, and nobody is disputing the existence of external debts. So why are you focusing exclusively on the liabilities while ignoring the assets that could potentially offset them? The fundamental principle of financial analysis is that you must examine both sides of the balance sheet before drawing conclusions. You cannot isolate someone's debts, conveniently ignore their savings and then present the resulting picture as an accurate assessment of their financial position. Of course, savings and debts are not automatically interchangeable. You must establish whether the assets are available, liquid and sufficient to cover the outstanding liabilities. But that is precisely the point: until you examine both sides, you cannot reasonably conclude that the person is financially burdened simply because they have debts. If you acknowledge Peter Obi's savings but refuse to consider how those savings relate to his liabilities, you are not conducting a balanced financial assessment. You are presenting only the part of the story that supports your argument. You cannot assess someone’s financial position by looking at their liabilities while deliberately ignoring their assets. That is not financial analysis; it is selective reasoning. |

Sirjamo:If he borrowed money, the relevant questions are how much he borrowed, what he spent it on, what assets or savings remained, and what his administration achieved. Those are questions of evidence, not speculation about what he “probably knew.” And this claim that he built not even a single primary school or primary healthcare centre? Can you substantiate it, or do you expect us to accept sweeping claims simply because you made them confidently? You cannot dismiss his savings when discussing his finances, then dismiss evidence when discussing his achievements. Bring facts, figures and verifiable records, not assumptions dressed up as arguments. |

They can try all they want, the records are there to confirm that Obi was a failed, lying incompetent clown. Even some gullible Nigerians who fell for his lies in 2023 are much wiser now. |

You don't have to be talking like a foolish or ingnorant man. Simple asking Google will give you answers to this thrash you have stated here. Among other things Peter Obi did as a governor he bought generators and satellite dish for schools. Google is your friend except you don't want to apply wisdom. Sirjamo: |

Mynd44:Peter Obi took no 'domestic' loans. If he did as you claimed, provide evidence. The loans you are referring to are external development-financing programmes negotiated through the Federal Government, primarily involving the World Bank and IFAD, and the DMO figures confirm the actual drawdowns, not the combined value of the approved facilities being circulated. It is financial illiteracy to claim someone left a debt while ignoring the savings available to offset it.Obi’s reported savings are sufficient to cover the actual external debt.why discuss the liabilities while deliberately ignoring the assets? As for Obiano and Soludo, what exactly does their cordial relationship prove? Stop presenting the absence of a public feud between Obiano and Soludo as evidence against Obi. Political relationships are not financial records, and liabilities cannot be assessed honestly while ignoring the assets available to offset them. Interestingly,Obiano was arrested by the EFCC over embezzlement, just as Ngige also faced EFCC action.Yet Peter Obi remains the exception in this argument. |

Tinubu became Governor of Lagos in 1999 ... be inherited N600 million. He left office in 2007 .. what did he leave for the next Governor? ... a debt of N100 billion ... N27 billion on a credit card. When you live in a glass house do not throw stones. |

Racoon:Failed Op who is Tinubu prodigy is still trying his best to indict Obi. Obi is clearly a saint among Nigerians corrupt political landscape by far!!! You can't help but admire Obi's integrity compared to his ancestors, present and past, and the current president too. Very corrupt entities!!! Just look at the actual debt they tried to squeeze out that he left compared to the amount Soludo's government initially accused him of!!! The hatred, envy and jealousy is clear!!! |

Racoon:But Obi already said all these and Now, Premium Times just verified that he did not take any loan. The said loans was not by Peter Obi and read the draw downs. I don't know if Premium Times is trying to smart by half but they have only vindicated Obi... They still haven't proven he took any loan. |

Racoon:You just keep beating around the bush like Obi! If only he will stop the needless pontificating about being some governance genius and making statements that come back to haunt him! Like Mynd44 told you, this won't be an issue if only he hadn't lied all this years about not taking loans or leaving any debt and here you are trying to tell us that "he didn't take that much debt" when the article clearly disputes Obi's stance on this matter. Maybe for you and your co-travellers, Obi "not leaving debt and leaving cash in government coffers" is something revolutionary but just so you know that is the easiest thing to do! Just do NOTHING! And Obi personifies this as your ilks regaled us on this and other forum of his abysmal performance when he was Governor! I saw this video where he made this boast on AriseTV about never saying he would leave APGA and asked for documentary evidence just like he had been lying all this while about the aforementioned! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t467sRFkTm0&pp=ugUEEgJlbg%3D%3D The annoying thing is that these are unforced conversations but to shore up his emptiness he goes making statements like this that adds nothing to the conversation and you lots lap it up! |

Mynd44: Peter Obi’s ArgumentGoing by the above, I would believe Peter Obi did not himself initiate the loans but rather followed through with the loans taken by the FG on behalf of states. Though I would assume as the Governor, he would have had to sign on some pages for the loan to pull through. He can still claim technically, he did not take (initiate) the loans while at the same time, others can still say he signed up on it. Both sides would still end up politically correct. |

Mynd44:Young man, where is the lie in what Mr. Obi said? Soludo and his government had not told us or the world that Mr. Obi took any loan in any bank. None has mentioned any bank that Obi and his government enter to take loan. I think it would be great if Soludo and his government can tell us bank(s) that Obi took loan. I think that would save all side talks. If I may presume, the debt may be accumulation of contracts awarded and yet to be paid because Obi had repeatedly said he never entered any bank to take loan or bond during his reign. And he did said, all contracts awarded that had been completed and satisfied were paid to date before he left office. What I expected Soludo and his government to do is to reel out loans obtained by Obi with reference to specific banks and not this roforofo. |
