Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, reportedly restricted comments on his Instagram post after a birthday tribute to Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, triggered criticism from some social-media users.
On Tuesday, October 13, Aki shared a birthday message for Seyi Tinubu, calling him “brotherly” and wishing him peace, laughter and the fulfilment of his desires. He also thanked Seyi for being one of his “biggest supporters.”

The post drew backlash from some Nigerians who saw the public association with the President’s son as politically sensitive. Critics reportedly accused the veteran actor of being a “sell-out” because of his warm relationship with Seyi Tinubu.
In response, Aki locked or restricted the comment section on the Instagram post, apparently to limit further negative reactions and control the conversation around the tribute.
