Tell them what we have done and tell them what we will do.

Nothing is brilliant there, we can't all ass kissers.

Politics should be about serving the people, not making statements that deepen divisions. Nigerians deserve leaders who can put national interest above personal differences and work together for the country's progress.

U removed fuel subsidy, increased taxes and electricity tarrif and kept running exorbitant government
The problem of Nigeria is not subsidy rather corruption and high cost of governance

A brilliant one coming from The Demigod- His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR)!

We will never return to Egypt. We will balance our economy and make it thrive by adaptive principles that apply to our challenges.

At count 250 million, we shouldn’t have subsidy on the table and should be taxing ourselves for a better tomorrow!

We not obliged or mandated to reap from sacrifices we make, but knowing a generation after us will reap the tremendous benefits is enough reason to keep persevering.

We on course and every international and accredited financial institution has applauded. Not ONE criticized our economic policy’s.

I am not acting like I don’t know it’s difficult and painful, but I know its right and the last option for economic redemption.
the same rhetorical playout when Babaginda was the head of state, the IMF advised the then head of state to float the currency and he accepted it, then the value of Naira to dollar is #1 equal $1, but before he left office the Naira has already eroded to #22 to a dollar, Economist then defended the devaluation of Naira under him and assured us of promising future but years after nothing change and no future is promising, President Tinubu listened to them and his voodoo Economist team and he removed the subsidy on all essential goods and consequently float the currency..

You guys should stop telling lies. Petrol went to 900 naira and then finally came down to around 695 naira if my memory is right until around February this year when Trump woke up one morning to attack Iran.

With what is going on around the world, back in the days, we would gone back to long fuel queues by now and resort to buying black market fuel.

Make una stop to de lie.

Re: You Cannot Ask Moses To Go Back To Egypt - Tinubu On Return Of Subsidy by nairalanda1(m): 9:18am On Oct 20
Yes, tinubu is a bad leader, and all that, but with our debt and oil revenue the way it is, a return to subsidy is a return to borrowing to pay for it...which means more debt.

I know that when Atiku wins, he is not going to bring back subsidy. Because he knows that IMF and china have us by the blokos. And subsidy would just be another excuse to squeeze tighter.

That's why it is amusing to call people who support subsidy removal tinubu fans. Yea, some of them are, but once you see how bad our economy is, to the point that fighting corruption won't help us reduce the amount of borrowing we would need to do to pay for subsidy....you would support it's removal too.

Anyway, when APC gets voted out, as I expect them to be, I believe subsidy ain't coming back. That era is done. Any leader who brings it back will face a situation where our debt is larger than our total revenue combined in a few years.

Nigeria was not flourishing under subsidy, otherwise, times of buhari would have been good, and nice and great, lol. They weren't.

Also, all those developing countries that do subsidy, do not do consumption subsides, and pay heavy taxes to pay for subsidy, and any subsidy is for the poorest of the poor, not for everyone. Fuel costs money well well for developed countries, as does electricity.

Yep, but politics should not be about borrowing to serve the people, and increasing debt as a result, which is what subsidy restoration amounts to.

Cutting costs of government won't add much to the budget or pay for subsides.

Also, taxes haven't gone up. Ma tax is not up to 20% of my income really.

And tarrifs are low for the majority, only for band A who form 20% of consumers....plus we are not paying cost reflective tarrifs, and as a result the power sector is losing billions of naira annually.

Subsidy is gone, but where are our refineries to ensure local refining of our petroleum products, what quantity of crude do we pump daily and export, how much have we saved from the subsidy scheme removal and where and how have we spend the over 3 years of savings? Before they tell us that states and LG get more allocations, please how has it translated to a better life for the common man who bare the brunt daily with perpetual hardship?
Anyways, since this is a SW presidency that we have at the moment, voices which were once loud have gone calm and sense of reasoning have been recalibrated to a new Nigeria under the super human government of the day. Posterity will judge us all

Well, in Egypt the people said they ate cucumbers, leeks, fish.... pepper soup stuff I guess, but in the wilderness all they have is manna....agbado I guess.

So Prophet Tinubu insists on not going back to Egypt Buhari government, pressing on while Pharaoh Atiku is in hot pursuit.

Elections are coming so let's see whether the Red Sea will part for Moses and the people to pass through and for the pursuing opposition to drown and never be seen again....

Then we will wander about the wilderness of civilisation for generations to come surviving on the manna Prophet Oyedele provides.....interesting....sounds.... religious doesn't it.

An Egypt that was created by PBAT.

An Egypt that is the reality of Nigerians currently.

I applaud PBAT for this statement.

YES, NIGERIANS WANT TO LEAVE THIS EGYPT AND NEVER GO BACK TO IT!

Thank you President Tinubu!
