And it's one thing for people to recognize that they're suffering, and another thing for them to embrace an option they rejected the pevious election cycle despite their pains.

As much as I understand they have a strict sharia law in Saudi , I just feel it’s not right executing foreigners who came for pilgrimage in your country over something as silly as a forehead kiss inside a mosque .

I googled the story and confirmed that BBC and other mainstream media platform reported the case . So I guess it’s not fake news fabricated on social media .

What I’m not sure of is whether the couple are are pilgrims or immigrants living and working in Saudi . The Saudis are also not saying the exact indecent act they performed in the mosque (whether it’s kissing as claimed on social media or it’s shagging )

I just feel prison sentence would’ve been the right punishment if indeed they even shagged .

My fear is that such sentencing in far away Saudi will have serious effect in Northern Nigeria in the future . It just feels like it will give some of those sharia courts in Nigeria power to pass that kind sentence in Nigeria for anybody unfortunate to be docked in sharia courts .

there will always be a different standard for western expats in the middle east and africa - so i am not sure what that has to do with anything either. you certainly know this - which is why your expats were taken around with military escorts
