Benin and Itsekiri came into contact with the Portuguese, first. Yet they didn't have first of anything.

I wonder what they did with all that contact. Or maybe the Portuguese were not interested in building schools.

Portuguese were only interested in the business.

The British established those schools to speed up their agenda.

All over the world, Presidents of a country usually graduated from one of their foremost secondary or high schools, but in Nigeria, awa President's secondary school record is unknown, now tell me how can such a man without known history transform the country for good? Have you ever seen where an orange tree produced an apple fruit?

Nigerians please wise up, primary and secondary school records are key to every man or woman's life in this age and time.

Meanwhile, I was expecting to see a school in Onitsha or Aba on the list

Actually, out of the 12, only King's College could be debated not to have started off as a missionary school.

Kudos to Henry Carr, he definitely should be celebrated more.

The Portugese did not come here to colonize us. They wwre strictly here for trade. I think its was primary slaves they traded in.

Some locals were sent overseas to Portugese school but I think the number was neglible.

The did leave a mark on our pidgin English and names of some places.

The word 'Escravos' means 'slave' in Portugese.
