Mike Igini Opposes Prof Amupitan On Independent Collation by Bigkoko(op): 5:16am On Oct 22
Contrary to Tinubu appointed INEC Chairman, Prof Josiah Amupitan’s declaration, it is now clear beyond reasonable doubt that the Nigerian ELECTORAL LAW GIVES CANDIDATES & party agents THE RIGHT TO RECORD, MAKE A VIDEO OF FORM EC8A AND HAVE THEIR OWN SITUATION ROOM. For avoidance of doubt, form EC8A is that form the INEC presiding officer at the polling unit records the valid results cast in the polling unit.

Hear Mike Igini:

“We have eighteen candidates. They are free under the law to have their IReV,….situation room. They are free under the law to publicize, to report what INEC had officially under section twenty-five, because section twenty-five is a creation of an office, a distinction to be made between declaration of a winner and announcement of result.

Who now says that result that have been legally, officially announced by the presiding officer, that the party agent that are entitled to have that result cannot send it to their situation room? Who says that?”

— Mike Igini schools Joash Amupitan on electoral act.

Nigerians must stand strong and make sure Tinubu and his hand picked kinsmen now running INEC doesn't get away with rigging the 2027 election.

You have heard it clearly...... the electoral law gives you rights to collate and independently know if your candidate won or lost.

Mike Igini is a former INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC ) for Akwa Ibom state, Returning Officer & National Commissioner. Such a strict, lawful and well learned Nigerian should be the INEC Chairman, not those who sneak out to meetings in London or France.

It is sheer ignorance or resolve to commit electoral criminality?
Re: Mike Igini Opposes Prof Amupitan On Independent Collation by Curious345: 5:47am On Oct 22
Amupitan would maybe get ambassador to Australia after his job....

Where is Mahmoud Yakubu?
Re: Mike Igini Opposes Prof Amupitan On Independent Collation by BigkokoRep: 5:48am On Oct 22
They actually wanted to scare Nigerians with treason so they can rig the election.

I don't think it's ignorance. It's a well planned, multi-layered rigging plan involving key INEC staff and political jobbers like Segun Showumi.

Looked well, it bothers more to a resolve to commit electoral criminality!

That won't happen because Amupitan will be tried for treason in 2027....

If you are hungry for imprisonment, announce election results without authorization.
Re: Mike Igini Opposes Prof Amupitan On Independent Collation by BigkokoRep: 7:17am On Oct 22
If you are hungry for the beating of a lifetime, on election day, go to the polling unit and stop announcement of Polling units result.

Not everyone is in the vanities of a government career in exchange for their silence and conscience. There are still upright people who will NEVER cow beyond cr!minals cartels.

Nobody is stopping you from doing anything you want to do

But only INEC has the authority to announce the Result

Bola may end up being the one to trigger the revolution that could consume him and many of the politicians around him.

Let him continue with his antics.

Nobody saw the #EndSARS protest coming when it happened. Sometimes, all it takes is one incident to ignite the anger that has been building up among the people. Once that trigger comes, you will see Nigerians troop out in numbers.

Bola should be very careful. Many Nigerians are only trying to play by the rules and express their frustrations within the confines of the law. He should not mistake the people's restraint for weakness.

The power of the people should never be underestimated.

Is this not the former Akwa Ibom resident Electoral Officer that rejected manipulated election results that was done by Akpabio's relative in favour of Akpabio?

I like this man.

Akpabio went to court and the court cancelled the election and asked for rerun, Akpabio ran away. Choose to continue as Minister that he was already appointed as compensation instead of risking it all.

I wish a no nonsense man like this was INEC chairman but they can never appoint honest people like him.

I don't think anyone will stop you from bringing to the fore of masses, the announcement of election results at polling units as it is being collated and counted by the inec official. But if you do differently u go chop ham well well even obi or Atiku go abandon you to your predicament...

All these and more, point to the fact that Tinubu knows he cannot win so he and INEC have ganged up again like they did in 2023 to massively rig 2027 Presidential election, so they don't want the world to know the truth!

Whether they like it or not. Nigerians will collate the results as announced by INEC Presiding Officers at every polling unit, and then we wait for INEC's fabricated result that will start the fire 🔥 that will consume the corrupt INEC officials and whoever that recruited them to do a shady job in 2027 angry

2027 can never be 2023 no matter what, people's vote must count!!

INEC has the authority to declare a winner, announcing results can be done by anyone, that's what the law says.

INEC is looking for where to hide, but there will be none.

As an undergraduate, I don't have the right to give myself a certificate at graduation but I have the full right to publish my own results that the lecturer has announced. Can a lecturer tell a student not to record and publish an already announced results?

A football team can not announce itself the winner of the league but it has the right to record and announce the result of the football matches already played

The law must be understood as written, not interpreted to suit personal interests. Electoral transparency is not a threat to democracy; it is its foundation. If INEC records results at polling units, why should candidates and their agents be denied the right to document those results, where the law permits? A credible election is not afraid of transparency; it is strengthened by it.

The new INEC chairman is making it too obvious that transparent, free and fair elections is not guaranteed in the coming elections. His utterances and body language says it all.

Mahmood Yakub was more matured and strategic than him.
