I have come across many of them. I don't consider them friends, let alone making them a wife.

A man that marries a controlling wife has already lost his respect in that union. He must find it back and take his place as the head. Not through violence sha, through dialogue. If dialogue fails let her go to the street, where she belongs.

A man's home should be his safe place where he runs to when the workday ends.

How you handle your woman is what determines the level of liberty she takes with you. My wife is hot tempered. She however knows when that madness starts, I return it in multiple folds. She has learnt to respect herself.

I work hard, foot every bill in my home and make sure she and the children never lack. I don't cheat and I'm focused on my business. I don't play with my unwinding and relaxation. One or two beers must go down after the days labour. You want to come and give me drama when I return home? She tried that a few months after our wedding saying I came home late.

I 'forgot' to come home for the next 2 days. She learnt her lesson since then.
