GOVERNOR KEFAS CONDEMNS BINNARI KILLINGS, ORDERS ACTIONS AGAINST PERPETRATORS

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has condemned the reported killing of residents in Binnari, Karim Lamido Local Government Area, following an attack by armed men in the early hours of Friday.

Residents of the community reportedly said armed men invaded Binnari, resulting in the unfortunate loss of lives.

Reacting to the incident, Governor Kefas described the killings as unfortunate and called on relevant security agencies to take urgent steps to restore calm, protect lives and property, and bring those responsible to justice.

The governor stressed that no effort must be spared in identifying and apprehending the perpetrators, regardless of their status or how highly placed they may be. He maintained that everyone involved must be held accountable in accordance with the law.

Governor Kefas reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to addressing insecurity and restoring lasting peace in Karim Lamido. He also highlighted ongoing efforts to facilitate the safe return of displaced persons to their communities and rebuild confidence among residents affected by previous crises.

As part of the broader peacebuilding efforts, the governor recently approved ₦1 billion for the Taraba State Bureau for Peace and Conflict management to address the aftermath of previous crises and support initiatives aimed at restoring tranquillity in Karim Lamido.

While expressing condolences to the families of those killed and praying for the repose of their souls, Governor Kefas urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies as they work to restore normalcy and ensure that those responsible for the attack face justice.

Taraba people are not like you people from the south who cry like babies and wait for government to avenge you.

Years ago, Fulanis used to open threads on Nairaland to cry and complain about what Taraba people did to them as reprisals.

These below contain extremely graphic images. Open at your risk.

There is something TY Danjuma said sometime ago about self defence, that's the rule they use in Taraba. Do me, I do you 10 times.

What is sure is that security agents will get those who did this. They better pray that Taraba people don't get to them before security agents do. That will be worse.

it's obvious that the people sponsoring the killing are the members of the opposition parties, if not why is that the killing always happen a day to or on the day of the mega rally of the ruling party? All this kind format no dey work on people again, president asiwaju bola Ahmed Tinubu will win again and finish his good work for this country , he is the only one that has the capacity to put a stop to all this banditry activities , he has been doing his best on this but he needs more time to do more, Nigeria will be great again!

This crisis will never truly end as long as religious fanaticism continues to thrive. Until we learn to separate faith from extremism, Nigeria will keep paying the price. Sadly, we sometimes practise Islam with even greater intensity than people in Saudi Arabia, yet we fail to embrace the tolerance, peace, and humanity that religion should promote. When religion becomes more important than human life, something has gone terribly wrong.

Why is retired Gen. Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma who is from Taraba State silent?
The North rewarded him with oil block for leading the assassination of Nigeria's Head of State, Major-General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi, who was visiting Ibadan and staying with his host, Colonel Adekunle Fajuyi in the 1966 July counter-coup.

Governor Kefas has no business being in politics. He should go back to the pulpit and preach and pray for the state. Let someone capable with the balls to fight the attackers with 3-4 eyes for an eye and within 6 months all the troubles will end. They keep burying victims almost weekly and they are expecting government to fight for them.

National tragedy? something the state government will forget by Monday morning? not to talk of NATIONAL?

it is only a National Tragedy if the government says it is a National Tragedy.

For now, it is just another regular happening in a place called Nigeria.

it doesn't solve the problem. A state police will be a disaster. The Governors will destroy the aims of their creation. No be naija again? More corruption to deal with

That is sad,see how lives are intentionally being lost.
A serious government should declare a state of emergency on security nationwide, declare 6 to 6 curfew for a month or two, called out all reserve solders, withdraw all vip security, mobilise hunters, VGN,etc, to clean all bushes and wipes out all criminals within them.
Let every community police itself with the help of the police.
With many years of banditry, terrorism, dislace, etc, the government have not learnt a thing.
Elections are coming up in 12 weeks and the government is still playing games with people's lives.
It's quite scary and sad.
Re: Governor Kefas Condemns Binnari Killings, Orders Actions Against Perpetrators by pharmagba:
So sad.
Why are our opposition politician so wicked.
I have taken an inventory of mass killings and kidnapping over the last 3 years and it always happen when President Tinubu is about taking significant step, milestone or something of joy.
Take a look back, just before his last birthday, just before he visited King Charles, just as he was marking his 3 year anniversary they always plan a mass kidnapping and/ or killing of innocent Nigerians just to give a negative spotlight and diminsh the achievement of the adminstration.
Our security forces and intelligences should have been able to draw this parallel and swing into action.
This is the handiwork of thr opposition polticians who have nothing to offer Nigerians.
