The wife too shouldn’t have been so disrespectful to the Husband.

Afterall, even in Christianity, Paul the Apostle admonished Women never to climb the Pulpit or engage in public teachings.

He also said Women must always submit to their Husbands as to the Lord.

He also said Women must not wear trousers. Oh, sorry. This was written in Deuteronomy. But the point is we are still saying the same thing. grin

It is those men around that I want to slap from here. How are they even allowing the man to keep on hitting the woman? They just doing swegbe swegbe there.

I don't understand why anything a Muslim does is related to Islam and if a Christian does same thing it will now be related to that particular Christian not Christianity. How do people fail to understand that religion is different from human behaviours.

I once came across similar video that happened here in Nigeria somewhere in the East where a man pounced on his wife and was beating and punching her with their children watching and crying. Neighbours now intervened and dealt with the man. And it's obvious they were Christians. So people where criticising the man and didn't mention anything about religion in that aspect but now a Muslim couple are doing the same act people will come and be blaming the religion smh

A religion can preach something and the follower of that religion can act otherwise. It's normal so why criticise the religion? In every religion there are bad and good ones. Those who have interacted with good people of their opposite religion can testify.

In the Quran, Muhammed specifically said husbands can beat their wives, nowhere in the bible does it that Jesus specifically told christian husbands to beat their wives

In Christianity Paul under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit told husbands to love their wives sacrificially in the same way that Christ loved the Church which means that a Christian husband should be willing to lay down his life in the same way that Christ laid down His life for the Church.

Because Islam, the political system that these people live by, as shown in the @OP, codifies the beating of women. In Islam, an Islamist man/boy is justified in beating up a girl/woman. Such justification is not found in Christianity or any of the other major religions out there; assault against a man or woman is considered a criminal act in those other religions. 😒😒😒

Nice post and I agree with you in general, but even citing the Nigerian example you gave, this would have not happened unchallenged in a Christian or even atheist environment.

The men in this video were clearly troubled with what the man was doing, but did not step in because they believed the man had the authority to do what he was doing. What gave him that authority, you can answer.

"Christian" teachings will not allow "christian" men to watch a man beating his wife like that in front of their children. That is just the plain simple truth.
