APC Asks Atiku, Mark To Pay ADC Staff Salaries

[bl UNPAID 12 MONTHS STAFF SALARIES: NIGERIANS SHOULD REJECT ATIKU ABUBAKAR AND ADC CANDIDATES[/b]

It has come to our attention that the National Working Committee of the African Democratic Congress, led by Senator David Mark as Chairman and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as Secretary, has refused and neglected to pay party staff for over a year.

We find it unconscionable that a political party that has made many grandiose promises to hoodwink Nigerians owes its workers for more than 12 months. Owing staff who come to work every day and who rely on the salaries for their daily sustenance is wicked and reprehensible.

With this development, Nigerians can now see the emptiness and insincerity of those parading themselves as 'new saviours'.

We have clearly stated that ADC leaders and their presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, do not mean well and can do nothing for our country. Their desperation for power is driven by personal aggrandisement and venomous ill will against President Bola Tinubu. A party that cannot pay its cleaners and workforce cannot be entrusted with our country's affairs.

Atiku Abubakar, the ADC's leader and Presidential candidate, has a reputation for owing his employees. While he regularly junkets to the UAE, staff at his Gotel Communication and other businesses also went months without pay and staged protests over unpaid salaries and other benefits.

The record of the ADC General Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola, on paying workers' salaries and pensioners in Osun State, where he was a governor for 8 years, was abysmal. As governor, he mismanaged the state's finances to the point that he could not pay workers. His government thus introduced quarter-salary and, at times, half-salary payments. As for pensioners, he abandoned them for more than four years. Many died because they could not afford the basics of life.

We are therefore not surprised that ADC, harbouring birds of the same feather, cannot pay its workers' salaries.

We are sounding a warning to Nigerians and working people now: reject ADC. Reject Atiku Abubakar and reject all ADC candidates in the next general elections. They do not have the interest of our country and our people at heart. A party that aspires to govern Nigeria and which cannot be trusted with something as basic as the management of its own affairs and the welfare of its workforce should be rejected by Nigerians.

This man should be made to account for the ministry he headed after Tinubu is voted out.

Mines industry is a silent money mover that many people don’t pay attention to.

I am disappointed in Atiku on this one.

What fvckery is this that I am reading about him?

Make amends and pay up o, or these mediocres paying poverty salary to civil servants in the name of 'we don't owe' no go let you rest. All they need to make their tin god look a little easy on the eye is a chink in your armour - and gladly, this is something Peter Obi does not have.

What a guy, the former Anambra governor!

APC is playing the role of an opposition party,it seems they are better positioned to be in opposition than governing the nation....they are so confused and tactless.

APC is the most useless party i have ever seen, first tinubu blames the opposition for te hardship he brought upon nigeria, now this. Very dumb set of people.
Re: APC Asks Atiku, Mark To Pay ADC Staff Salaries by emkz(op): 10:55am On Oct 27
They bought a party and forgot about the liabilities.

Atiku is shouting production subsidy, forgetting about liabilities like outstanding debt, salaries, capital votes, and pension for NITEL and Nigeria Airways workers Atiku disengaged more than 20 years ago.

What should worry Nigerians is where apc keeps getting humongous funds to purchase these campaign buses and cars.

For instance the 10 Prado jeeps purchased by dayo through the first lady was estimated to be above a billion naira.

With what has been purchased so far by apc,has the campaign funds not exceeded the limit by a political party according the electoral laws?

The way I see apc,if another party eventually takes over in 2027,the humongous funds looted by this administration alone will make abacha look like a saint or pope.

APC and their lacki have nothing to campaign with, was Atiku and David Mark in ADC a year ago? People are dying in Nigeria due the APC incompetency, while ordinary Nigerians can't afford just paracetamol for body pains due to high cost of drugs.
Let me state clearly, the drugs I used to buy 400 naira in the past is now #5,000. Tell APC to convert Prado by Isreal to Ambulance for the benefit of ordinary people

Valid question I have to say.

But then, Atiku messed up doing this to himself.

Tha man just lucky say Northerners wouldn't care. Whatever you hang him with, those ones are prepared to give him their much sought-after block votes by hook or crook.

Tinubu APC has emptied the Nigerian treasury. My question is, why have they not been able to make the NNPCL account for their spendings. They are stealing through the NNPCL, yet heavily taxing the masses.

The same issue at Wadata plaza then.
Wike was the one paying the staff.
No wonder PDP could not survive.
Same thing is happening in ADC.

Ordinary party agents of ADC in the last Osun election could not get paid, some of them dropped the job and collected 20k to pay and work for APC .

Aregbesola that could not pay salary as a governor can't do any better as National secretary

APC should speak to the issues and stop chasing shadows.

Nigerians are so poor now due to the policies of your principal. You might be benefiting financially from this administration, but remember your brothers and sisters that are hungry and poor in the cities.

Be a man of conscience. Sha I just remember poverty can make someone sell his/her conscience.

Nigeria: Pensioners Urge Tinubu to Pay Arrears

26 March 2003
This Day (Lagos)

Lagos — Pension teachers in Lagos State under the aegis of Teacher Pensioners of Nigeria (TEPAN) have urged Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to review his stance on paying the harmonised three year old outstanding pension allowance or risk losing their votes.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of TEPAN, Mr. Ayodabo 'Lade, accused Tinubu of failing to pay the arrears to teachers on their correct pension grade since the year 2000, contrary to what was obtainable in other five States of the South-west controlled by the Alliance for Democracy (AD).

Aregbesola was not the one who failed to pay salaries. It was the CoS attached to him from dull Bola who was responsible. Do you think that is why Aregbesola is no longer with the master strategist of a-looter propaganda politics huh

Ofunaofu:
Report: Current Govt Added More Debt in Two Years Than Nigeria Accumulated in 55 Years

• Decries Nigeria’s debt service-to-revenue ratio

•Urges FG to declare fiscal emergency

A new policy brief has warned that Nigeria’s worsening debt profile and weak revenue generation have pushed the country into a dangerous fiscal position, with the current administration accumulating more debt in two years than Nigeria recorded during its first 55 years after independence.

The report, released by the Alliance for Economic Research and Ethics LTD/GTE, a Nigerian policy think tank, argued that the country’s debt crisis has evolved into a governance and revenue emergency, as debt servicing obligations now exceed the federal government’s retained earnings.
>
>
According to the think tank, Nigeria’s public debt rose sharply from N87.38 trillion in June 2023 to N159.28 trillion by the end of 2025, with President Bola Tinubu’s administration accounting for about N65.9 trillion of the increase within its first two years in office.

The organisation in the brief titled: “Nigeria Is Borrowing to Breathe—and the Clock Is Ticking”, noted that Nigeria accumulated only about N12.06 trillion in debt from independence in 1960 up to 2015, meaning the current administration added more than five times that amount in just 24 months.

The report stated that while previous governments also contributed significantly to the country’s rising debt burden, the speed of accumulation under the current administration had intensified concerns over fiscal sustainability.

“President Bola Tinubu’s administration has added a further N65.9 trillion in just two years. To put that in perspective: it took Nigeria’s first 55 years of independence to accumulate N12 trillion in debt. The current administration has added more than five times that amount in 24 months,” it argued.

It recalled that Nigeria briefly became almost debt-free externally after the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo secured an $18 billion Paris Club debt relief package in 2005 and paid $12 billion to extinguish about $30 billion in external obligations.

Tinubu can continue to use state resources to run his own campaign but state resources couldn't save him in Osun. Neither did it save him in Lagos.
