Obi the biggest hypocrite in Nigeria has spoken
Honestly, I was supporting this guy before 2023 election but the day I listened to him, I saw highly unintelligent and manipulated human being, and since I never regret dumping highly tribalistic human being.

There's no way you listen to Obi with open mind and you'll support him.

He's too mentally retarded

That's why he left Anambra in ruins for 8 years. The whole state was like a freshly bombed out warzone while he governed the state money in his bank. Idiot wants to come and keep Nigeria stagnant likewise.

Peter Obi is a clueless retard. He doesn't know what to do with public money except keeping it in his bank and periodically sharing it to Catholic bishops and pastors grin

He is actually very correct
No he is not correct. The priority of a 3rd world country is to catch up on various sectors like transportation (roads, air, sea), manufacturing, Healthcare, education, services, social welfare, military capabilities, technology, tourism etc.

Leave savings to traders & businesses. The federal government already has a clear strategy for foreign exchange reserves and other instruments.

Government need more money not more savings!

He saved money borrowed from the world bank for food security, education and health. He invested some in the beer industry, and deposited most of it in a bank related to him. Is that good governance?

Bankers will definitely agree with him there is a crypto trading platform where I left a few thousands of dollars for 5yrs and it later generated millions after daily compounding.
Re: Leaving Public Funds In The Bank Would Have Made Nigeria Very Wealthy- Peter Obi by Tianamen1: 6:10pm On Oct 28
He is 100 per cent correct. If the excess crude account hadn't been wasted, the economic crisis would not have occurred.
Savings achieve three goals:

1. It reduces the amount of importation of foreign goods, thus strengthening the Naira. When the government forces itself to save, it doesn't consume all its revenue. International speculators view the saved money as capital that can be deployed to defend the Naira, so they will not attack the Naira.

2. Savings can be used to balance the budget when oil prices fall. Nigeria would not have borrowed money.

3. Part of the saved money could be used for investment and development, as opposed to sharing all the money and wasting it.

I think the government should carve out biafra for this mediocre to be its President.. this kind can't rule over intelligent minds in Nigeria.

Sowore is far far better than this shlt contesting for President.

Did it occur to you that when States were having problems with payment of salaries that Anambra was not affected, what of the airport Obiano built.

Hear the pathway of a presidential candidate to creating wealth for a nation.

This is is not only disappointing but also disgraceful.

What this means is that, you can't give what you don't have.

Oga my belly full! Obi is a criminal! Governance is not about investing public funds but about caring for the welfare of the people. Obi that wants tó invest public funds in banks, wants to bring back subsidy! Does it make sense to you?

Buhari left over $90bn debt with Lagos-Ibadan road and rail, Kaduna-Abuja road and rail and 2nd Niger bridge. Would you say he was a better economic manager who put Nigeria on a sustainable path to progress than Obasanjo who saved $20bn in ECA, $40bn in reserves and paid off $30bn debt? Like if you want your country's economy to grow sustainably, which would you choose between the two men to manage your country's economy?

So you can only point to airport built by his successor and if the successor also decided to save like him what do you think will happen?
And about Lagos debt that you mentioned. Read about 'Sinking funds'. And kindly point to where Lagos State is been dragged by her creditors. Can you also compare Lagos State infrastructures with what you have in other states?
Re: Leaving Public Funds In The Bank Would Have Made Nigeria Very Wealthy- Peter Obi by owobokiri(m): 6:17pm On Oct 28
Amoda Chicago-Chagoury Yekini followers will keep twisting Peter Obis words to no end.
They can't campaign on any given issue apart from borrowing. So they resort to distortions and negative propaganda.
Big shame!

Re: Leaving Public Funds In The Bank Would Have Made Nigeria Very Wealthy- Peter Obi by ElSudani: 6:22pm On Oct 28
Without the economic backbone to back it up? where would the interests come from?
Money don't just multiply in the bank, it is lent out to create and grow economic activities.
This is the job of the commercial banks, government money is a different issue. You can't lend it out on the basis of where you will get the best returns.
Will Ekiti or Ebonyi be able to compete with the likes of Lagos or Kano even though we have equal rights to the money?
Obi got this idea from a mad man obviously.
Re: Leaving Public Funds In The Bank Would Have Made Nigeria Very Wealthy- Peter Obi by slivertongue: 6:22pm On Oct 28
He didn't leave money but invested it and The governor of Abia State confirmed it and obiano spent it on state infrastructure

ChukwuObe:
He didnt say invest. Please dont twist his message. He said leaving money in the bank. To what extent has the money he so left in the banks has made Anambra state wealthy today? You guys are just disappointing God for not making use of your brain he gave to you. Is that not a shame?
