That tells you that Buhari was even easier to sell in the South than Tinubu is. Buhari won Lagos and Osun. Tinubu couldn't win Lagos and Osun. Popularity is not transferable. Politicians alone cannot carry Tinubu. He needs to carry himself to a certain extent first based on his own popularity instead of begging for endorsements from left and right.

Buhari with his popularity still needed alliances to scale through. A good politician depends on several factors not just popularity. At least tinubu has popular politicians and allies he clings to to scale through. Your Atiku has none, nothing is working for him that is why he will keep losing perpetually

so you think you see a scenario where 90% of LGAs ' governors are APC, and only the president is, what, NDC or ADC? It's not mathematically possible? Reality is that no one is going to say they will vote for Tinubu publicly, but the signs show otherwise. APC has been doing well in almost all local elections prior to now, no magic would change it unless those two find a way to present a single front.
