BlueRayDick:hopefully Ojulari will make some changes but lets see i hear they are introducing private sector type targets /controls and they are now giving people who are not down with this VOLEX [voluntary exit package] . My personal experience with NNPC is that unless a director pushes for something it will never be done. We have a project that has been on hold for over 11 months now. no one answers any emails. but let a director wake up on the case and suddenly everyone will be hustling you to move as if the world will end |

afrodoc2:na how pesin can look at what trump is doing and call it leadership wey dey muzz me take away the fact that uganda was a third world country and what is the effective difference between trump and idi amin ? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 12:34pm On Nov 06 |
GloriousGbola:Now you get what I'm saying. NNPC is such that even if u are coming from a fast-paced private sector, when you get there, you just have to slow down, blend in and work at the pace of everyone you met there. They run it like a typical government parastatal, just that the workforce are well taken care of compared to other MDAs . They get above industry standard welfare package, but they don't deliver above industry standard results. Corruption is a major problem in this country that has robbed of so many good things over time. I just wonder why anybody would say otherwise. |

GloriousGbola:Now they are planning to pin everything on Hegseth and make him the fall guy. I am now hearing that he is incompetent and misled Trump. When people were saying that he was underqualified for the job and that Trump was appointing too many people with dubious CV, Trumpeters refused to listen. Trump named someone who is, for all intents and purposes an anti-vaccine advocate, the Secretary of Health. ![]() |

I think one of the principles a man must live by is to never move into a house owned by or paid for by his wife under any circumstance whatsoever.
|
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 1:40pm On Nov 06 |
BlueRayDick:story likely made up however - would the man have accepted it if his wife had said her own divorced sister should move in with them? if he had the money to rent outside, he should have rented a place for his sister having family of either side sharing a house with you is imho a very fast way to fk up your marriage all the fight that should be private would now be family knowledge with everyone adding their own pepper |

daughter is in unilag for jupeb finding hostel is wahala it is because of the above i am not keen on off campus hostel |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 1:58pm On Nov 06 |
GloriousGbola:I also don’t subscribe to the idea of the sister-in-law coming to stay with them . I’m Not even a fan of accommodating third parties in ones’ home beyond a day or two visit . However , I think the husband agreeing to move into the wife’s property would always end that way whether the sister-in-law issue came up or not . The wife was always going to remind him who owns the house over an heated argument . The sister in-law issue just pushed the date forward on that . |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:02pm On Nov 06 |
GloriousGbola:Unilag school hostel allocation is full of racketeering. Some students will bid and win the lot only to sell the hostel space at exorbitant price . All those business center operators inside the campus , they have proxies who bid on their behalf. They will now sell it at ridiculous prices . |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Emaprince: 2:20pm On Nov 06 |
BlueRayDick:They agreed nobody should move in while they are married. The man should have rented an apartment for his sister. Infact, even if they never had any prior agreement, the best approach would have been for him to rent his sister another apartment to avoid anything that will lead to both women clashing.. Women no dey feel comfortable when an inlaw is staying with them. Only people that can stay there and enjoy it is her siblings. The man is very wrong. However, as a man..never pray to find yourself at the mercy of a woman. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:32pm On Nov 06 |
Emaprince:I agree the man was wrong by insisting on his sister moving in. That being said, the woman reminding him about whose house it is was always going to happen. If the sister-in-law's issue did not happen, some other heated argument would've forced the words out of her mouth. It was just a matter of time. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 2:47pm On Nov 06 |
The man already knew the kind of person his wife was, and that was why he refused to move in initially. Already, she admitted that the SIL moving with them was just for a while. So I don't understand why the man needs to rent an apartment. If my sister wants to stay for 3 months, should I go and rent an apartment? The fact that she admitted from the start that he refused to enter a free house already tells us half the story. |

"He suggested that she moves in until the court case is done" Her words...... |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 2:50pm On Nov 06 |
izzou:True. A four bedroom apartment (likely duplex) would have a ton of space leftover for a family of 3. Most women aren't accomodating, especially if na husband family. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 2:54pm On Nov 06 |
Theflint1:Exactly. It would be very unreasonable to ask him to rent a place for his Sister. They had enough space to host her for a given period. She may have her reasons though. But I cannot blame the man for trying to be kind to his own blood sister. They have only one child in a 4 bedroom apartment, and you want him to rent a flat for his Sister for just a period of time? Even Dangote won't do that with clear eyes |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:56pm On Nov 06 |
Theflint1:Well, I don't think it's a woman thing. I'm a man and I actually don't like accommodating any third party in my home. I will only do it out of necessity and it must be for the shortest period of time If I was in the man's shoes, I would've rented an apartment for my sister if I have the means. I will only accommodate her as a last resort if I can't raise money within the shortest period of time. |

GloriousGbola:What are you talking about? You were the one using gallons to brag here during fuel scarcity period around early 2023/2022 or thereabouts. You were saying you don't care what happens since you already hoarded some gallons at home, naturally I thought you meant 25 liters gallons, I couldn't have known it was possible to brag with 3.8 liters gallon. |

BlueRayDick:Same here. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 3:02pm On Nov 06 |
BlueRayDick:Does this apply to Omugwo like situationz I guess this rules are more applicable in Nigeria. If you are abroad and you have a baby, You can fly your MIL and she can help with the baby for 6months which will cost you flight tickets of $2k and feeding Or you take the baby to daycare of $500 per week and in 6months you have spent $12k on childcare because you have this rule If in Canada where you can d a supervisa for MIL an she stays for 1yr, You end up saving even more Or your younger bro or wives younger sister japa, but never settle down to get his own place, you will rather spend $2k per month on his separate rent and feeding till he settles down because you have this rule Even that SIL situation that is an extra adult that can help you watch your own kids when both of you have to be away instead of paying for extra help |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Roland17(m): 3:03pm On Nov 06 |
BlueRayDick:I have to agree with you. There are certain decisions that are non-negotiable for me because this outcome was inevitable. It takes a very very special and rare woman to not ridicule a man privately, silently or publicly whenever she carries the burden of the family even if it for a short time. Also, the man corrected his mistake by moving out, but what exactly is the wife still doing in the family house? Does she need anyone to tell her it is time to move herself and the kids to the 3 bedroom apartment? Does she want to still remain married? Because as it stands, they are separated. E no go hard oga for find woman wen go give am peace of mind because as a man, if your partner can’t give you peace of mind, the culminating effect on your life may even end a man. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 3:03pm On Nov 06 |
BlueRayDick:From the story, the man isn't broke or poor. His Sister was going through a divorce. This is different from a "Landlord-wan-throw-me-out" case. There could have been a lot of emotions involved. Rules have exceptions. There are things I will break my rule for of it concerns my family. All he asked for was some time till she finishes her divorce. Even if she won't agree, at least let there be a little consideration. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 3:06pm On Nov 06 |
raumdeuter:Omugwo is one of the exceptions to the rule. Having a mother or mother-in-law come in to care for their grandson is not debatable . I'm talking about an adult or teenage relations coming to stay for months in my home, I am not a fan of it. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 3:06pm On Nov 06 |
Roland17:The man already knows his wife; The type that likes to own theirs and enjoy yours. A woman who wants to right the wrong would have packed her property into his home, and rent hers Rather, she still dey "Her house", and is expecting him to go back there. Akuko Mike... |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 3:09pm On Nov 06 |
Roland17:The woman is emotionally attached to the house. I feel wants the husband to see them staying in the house she inherited as her own little way of contributing financially to the marriage. The wise thing for her to do is to put up the house for rent and move in with her husband in the newly rented space he got. It appears the man still loves her and he's only waiting for her to take that step to save the marriage. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 3:10pm On Nov 06 |
BlueRayDick:This was a scenario that actually happened to my own family My Grand mother lived in the North for most of her life and just visits for 2 weeks once a year. towards end of her life she was sick and had to live with us for over 4yrs till she died in 2000. For most of my late secondary school years , waiting for admission and when she died, I was the one who took care of her mainly, Washing her clothes, All her hospital visits, giving her medicine, writing her letters(she will dictate to me and I will write it) was done by me. Actually I was the one who gave her the last meal she took, I will lift her head up and fed her Ogi. Until 2 days before she died when I noticed she couldnt swallow the Ogi anymore In this your situation, where would you have kept your mother(if you were my dad) who needed end of life care as she was a widow at that time, needed help with movement and medication. Would you rather pay for 24hrs round the clock nurse for her in a separate rented house to be done by Nurses who probably dont care |

izzou:How come the sister has money for court case but cannot rent an apartment. Them wan scatter the marriage for ground now. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 3:14pm On Nov 06 |
izzou:From the story, the husband didn't define the "some time" the sister was going to spend. In marriage, communication really matters. He said she will stay for "some time and not forever".....Omo, that is not a well defined timeframe at all. You will be surprised that she may stay for a year and the whole divorce matter may not even be concluded. I think the man should've just gotten even a mini-flat for the sister if he had the means. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 3:14pm On Nov 06 |
TemporaryHansel:How are you sure he isn't the one funding the case? I have only one sister. You think if my sister was in dire need of my help, I won't bend my rules because of her? |
