Something is off. Why does it seem like they're all in their 20s-30s. except for the two little boys.
Where are the parents, aunties, uncles etc huh
It just seems like a bunch of friends organized her burial and invited the whole neigborhood
even the officiating "priests" seem like young boys just doing a performance undecided

RIP

What type of culture demands that children be present when a body is being lowered into the ground? What purpose does making them stand there serve?

Things like that can be traumatizing to kids, those two boys should not have been there.
The dead do not know if you place flowers on their coffin or not so what the heck is the point in doing it?

Na wa o.

whats your point? so in the western world kids dont go for internments?
Speak specifically about this particular one and not condemning a culture

The dead are gone but one should still pay respect to the dead. Why did the King of Troy beg for Hectors body to pay his last respect.
Because you see crying boys sudeenly nigerians are backward huh huh

I don't see the problem with the culture. Usually the first born is present to pour sand on the coffin. sometimes if the parent dies young, that child will usually be very young.
But that scene didn't go down well with me either. I felt bad for the boys for some reason. The picture just didn't seem right. look at the guy to the right of the boys he looks like he is not even related to the family at all and just using the opportunity to take pics with a smartphone.
I feel like 80% of those people are unrelated to the family.
there should be grandparents, uncles, aunties etc surrounding those kids. there shouldn't be a crowd there. at least not that vampire crowd.
