It will contain 2000 catfish to maturity comfortably..

My mentors,is there any disadvantage of feeding my fish with Muti-feed and vital feed till grow out.

There is no disadvantage whatsoever, as long as the fishes are of good quality and you observe the best management practices..

You will need two plastic tanks for sorting.. I don't know how much the plastic tanks cost for now, it should be like #20k to #30k it depends on the size you want..

U should budget at most 150k for a start with other expenses like plumbing etc..

Yes You can use well water for catfish farming...But I will advice you test your water to ascertain the level of the P.H.

my Ogas @ d top,today makes it precisely 3 weeks that I stocked my juveniles and they are yet to finish 1 n half bag of multifeed. As at now,I am having half bag left. Though they eat well n growing well.Only that m kinda concerned .

First off you did not tell us how many juvenile you stocked, and like u rightly said they eat well and they are growing as expected then there is nothing to be concerned about...

Am yet to dig the well but will do so immediately when d maison are done with d perimeter fencing. I will let u know d p.h level and if Ok will go into catfish farming immediately since my number1 fear (borehole) is gone. D place is a bit water-logged. Tnks

My oga, I dont really understand how to go abt stocking.
This is because based on my calculatn, the pond ll house 67920litres of water. Sharing this litres of water among 2000 fishes that you suggest will give 33.96litres/fish which is under stocking.

Abeg, how can i avoid under and over stocking?

It is better u understock than overstock... I raise a 1000 fish to maturity comfortably on a pond of 10 by 10..a pond of 20 by 20 will accomodate 2000 fishes, I don't get myself mixed up with calculations.. I once tried it and it was not funny..

Like I said earlier about melaunge u can't buy fingerlings/juvenile and make a reasonable profit..

To raise juvenile to melaunge of 500gm u will need #300k to raise them for the next three months..

Sodium carbonate should be added in the tank to correct the P.H..
