On to the story of "jack" Dawson and the shocking revelation: Contrary to what most of you have known/believed for so long, Rose Dewitt Bukater(kate winslet) and Jack Dawson(leonardo di carpio) were actually fictional characters created by James Cameron. There was a man named J. Dawson (Joseph Dawson) who died aboard the Titanic. His gravestone bears the inscription "J. Dawson."(picture below) But James Cameron did not know that he existed until AFTER he wrote the Titanic screenplay and therefore could not have based the Jack character on J. Dawson.

The sign-on papers yielded more that Dawson was a 23-year-old. His address was given as 70 Briton Street, Southampton, and his home town listed as Dublin, Ireland.

The similarities between fact and fiction are striking however, both were young men, both largely penniless, who "gambled" their way aboard Titanic. One a serf to coal, the other a character who wielded charcoal to wood and both were intimately bound up with beautiful sweethearts.

Most of you may ask "How about the old lady at who narrated at the beginning of the movie"?? The old lady who narrated the movie Titanic was Gloria Stuart she played Old Rose. yeah she as well was a fictional character.

However, Captain Smith, Thomas Andrews, Molly Brown (unsinkable molly), Bruce Ismay, Col. Gracie and others were all real people.

Addies: The violist that went down with the band was made up, its was actually a singer that went down. He sang row your boat as the ship went down. The iceberg was actually a German submarine which shot a missile at the Titanic because they believed there were weapons aboard.

Recent investigation proves that the ship was too damaged to have been hit by just "an iceberg", an iceberg couldn't have made such a huge seemingly indestructible ship rip in half...plus an abandoned German sub was found on an island close the where the titanic sank. that part of the story was covered up to avoid conflict... remember at that time there was already tension, with the first Balkan war and world war 1 brewing.

Lol i guess that's to show how convincing Hollywood movies could be.. they actually had the whole world believing jack and rose were actually on the ship. Same way they had us believing James bond, Scarface, superman and other characters were real, when we were kids.

I think Nollywood movie producers should spend more time on their works. I have never believed any nollywood movie in my life, even 7 year olds don't believe naija movies.. and it became worse ever since they discovered "s*x was possible in their movies" now the movies lack reasonable story lines, just s*x and girls wearing shirts as gowns without leggins making noise, same ol same ol smh

According to the movie, the iceberg made a hole... The hole let water in at high pressure... Archimedes principle could no longer hold and a part started submerging... Inequality of viscosity of water and air, and subsequent imbalance in weight of the parts in either medium, split the ship... Then the ship sank completely.

The ship Titanic did truly exist and its doom was beyond the ordinary. Remember they said not even God could sink it and lo and behold, the rest is history. A big lesson here for humankind. God is way above the work of man, remember, He created EVERYTHING we see today including you and me. What then is in a ship that it can't sink. Reverence God always.
