Restriction Of Movement In Ikorodu Tomorrow Due To Ritual Rites (eluku & Oro). by amodu(op): 10:03pm On Aug 06, 2014
There will be restriction of movement in Ikorodu tomorrow(7, Aug
2014) in respect of the late Ayangburen of Ikorodu.

The famous Eluku Idol will be on parade for the first time after over 10 years an embargo was placed on it by the late king; A non-indigene is permitted to witness it, so stay clear by staying indoor. Also, there will be Oroo to which doesn't involve the female sex.

The announcement was made late this night by the popular vigilante group known as 'Onyabo' led by the leader Chief Bomabata. Indigene alike who are not man enough should also stay clear.

Although, it's not all over Ikorodu Division,
but some major areas in Ikorodu Central are the
focus areas... Areas like (Itunmaja, Ota-Ona, Ejina,
Aga, Obun-Ale, Ita-elewa, Ladega, Lowa, Ojogbe, Ojubode, Garage Round-About and co...

From 8am-12pm... Someone can move around from
12pm-6pm BUT one should just make sure He/She is
back in his/her home at exactly 6pm... MY ADVICE:
If you don't have any important mission tomorrow,
STAY AT HOME... Ikorodu o ni baje o!

Certain indigenous family of Ikorodu are permitted to witness this.

Eluku here in Ikorodu is characterized by testing the potency of charms among themselves. Charms that have been prepared for long or still recent but haven't seen the light of the day or stand the test of potency are being used by individuals on themselves. That is what is been meant by 'man enough'.

your reasoning is a bit low. If u have any problem with the culture, leave the country and go stay with the whites u like so much. There are things in our culture that will neva be erased, computer age or android age

This is part of our problem of under-development in this country. While reading this, I had just the same feeling I used to have back then during my nysc days in ogun state, there was a time they did oroo for a full week, no one could walk safely.
This is a call to the christian community, more work needs to be done. Evangelism has not reach everywhere o so no resting. God will help us

Oga, this is Lagos. Forget that culture you're talking about. Go to your village and practise that!
I understand the importance of culture but not at the expense of those who don't belong with you!

How have these cultural practices actually helped us? we have series of problems we need devine intervention on right npw, e.g corruption, terrorism, ebola e.t.c. They should pick on one or all of them and solve to show their might.

Stupid and archaic culture and also a hopeless tradition.

The world is looking towards human advancement and some folks are busy practicing fuckup culture.
