Former Governor of Anambra
State, Peter Obi, has explained
that his defection from All Pro
gressives Grand Alliance (APGA)
to the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP) was not because of any
grouse against his former party.
Speaking with journalists during
an interactive session with Igbo
group in Lagos State, Obi said:
“There is nothing wrong with
APGA and my joining the PDP
has nothing to do with APGA. I
enjoy cordial relationship with
Chief Willie Obiano and the
government is doing well. I will
continue to support him in
building a better Anambra State
for the good of the children of
the state.”
Asked the main reason he left
APGA, the former governor said
it was because of his resolve to
be strongly involved in President
Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election
bid.
“Mr. President is doing very well.
He has a lot of policies in place
that will transform the country if
re-elected. We shall support him
fully for the benefit of the
country,” he said.
National Publicity Secretary of
PDP, Olisa Metuh, who said
never in the history of the PDP
was such a delegation sent to
persuade people to join the
party, led the delegation. He
said they had to do it in Obi’s
case because of his past
performance and the value he
would bring to the party.
Governor Olusegun Mimiko of
Ondo State recently joined the
PDP, saying it was not because
of Ondo State or the Labour
Party, but that it would offer him
the opportunity to support the
president more. Obi, who also
cited the same reason, said he
had discussed the matter with
Mimiko on several occasions.

So there is nothing like the Igbo-Party Scam he sold for years. It has always been scheme to delude Umu Igbo and protect his interest and greed.

All about Mr. President's re-election bid abi? Let him go and have his own share of the missing $20billion. Jega suppose don cancel some parties ( APGA, LP, AD).
Re: Why I Left APGA –obi by egift(m): 6:27am On Oct 09, 2014
He sold his soul and the rest of Igboland so that he can collect a portion of the looted $20 billion, Police Pension Funds, Immigration Employment money, $9.3 million and $5 million in SA, proceeds from inflated budgets and kick-backs from contract fees. Immediately he discovered the 1,000,000,000 Dollar Loan is due for sharing he decamped. shocked

This is the real reason per his right hand man
Yes, Obi said so. Did he leave APGA? He did not, he was not wanted. Since he left office, how many APGA functions were he invited to? Just last week, I was passing with him through Owerri and we saw many vehicles going for an APGA function -rally- with APGA inscriptions. It took him phone calls to ascertain that APGA was doing a mega rally in Owerri.
Since he left office, how many APGA hierarchy have called him on the phone or visited him ?
Do you have to be killed first before you realize that you are not wanted?
Did you see the array of PDP members that visited him and the kind words appreciative of his character and personal rectitude?
Let Ndi na anyu ya nsi n'isi choo onye ozo ha ga na anyu ya bu nsi.

come on! How many politicians have you seen speaking the truth?

or that even remember what their campaign promises were to the masses that elected them, talkless of fulfilling the tasks and promises made to the people.

i'll wager that its because you're one of those that believe a change of party means the person is suddenly X, Y or Z insrtead of the A, B or C aka liars we all know them for!

If this is the main reason he is leaving APGA,then its a big shame on his part. I see him returning to APGA after 2015 when Jonathan looses woefully in the election.

Berem, obi leaving APGA does not change anything for APGA party even when rochas forcefully took APGA to apc that has no vision and also relegated okorocha to bottom didn't affect us,you should focus on imo state and their yeye apc impose party and leave obi decision out of it.

APGA is coming to rescue imo state from fraudulent rochas in 2015 cool
