Right from when i was in primary school, i had wanted to be a newscaster. I used to sit attentively to watch NTA news at 9. Nobody was there to advise me on choice of my career
Re: OAU 2014/2015 FRESHERS (newly Admitted Students) Meet Here by Rachie97: 7:30pm On Oct 10, 2014
I have never for once love anything pertaining to science. I also liked being a lawyer coz they are respected in the society.

In 2008 when i wanted to register for JAMB, I was advised to forget about Mass Com because it's not productive. So, i put in for law and sociology in UNILORIN. I scored 207 and 70% in UTME and POST UTME respectively.

It is well oo
Re: OAU 2014/2015 FRESHERS (newly Admitted Students) Meet Here by Rachie97: 7:43pm On Oct 10, 2014
I was not offered admission there. So I zero my mind about Uni completely. I applied to study English Language in NCE because it is productive and i love Literature and English in SSS days. I finished in 2013. A friend asked me what I want to do after NCE and i told him I want to do my degree inOAU out of 'ignorance'. He advised me not to trust DE alone. So i applied for UTME. I did nor trust myself that i could make it but he motivated me because he read the same course(English) in OAU too.

Fortunately, that's how i made it here...

Anyways, my passion is sewing. I will still go back to Tailoring and Fashion Designing later....

Nice thread, interesting discussion but it seems,to me,to be centered around OAU pre degree students alone, thereby blocking out others...just my observation

okay here we are n d ball has been rolled to me,
I dedicate dis story to DrnoimatO for nominating me, Timmytimmy n everybody on dis thread

#flashback; as a kid d future was d least tin on my mind(I didnt even knw wat d future meant)so I just lived life like any other kid without thinking bout anything

Growing up, I wanted to b an engineer (didn't knw there were specifications for engineering), funny enuogh if I see a musician performing I'll change my mind to b a musician, if I see footballers play football, I'll want to b a footballer, if I see gangsters in a movie I'll also wanna become one, so dat was d trend, wanna become anything I saw Lol

wen I finished my JSS n was about to enter d SSS class, I had 3 options(Science, Art or Commercial)so I seek advice from my elder sibling n I was cajoled to go to the art class n probably b.com a lawyer(cos I never lost in an argument or debate trust me u cudnt win me in an argument)naive me jumped into d art class
few weeks in d art class I discovered I wasn't happy there so I went into d science class just like magic I fell in love with physics, chemistry n furthermaths but hated biology(I guess dats y I hate medicine too)
I den discovered I had an exceptional love for electricity in physics
just den I discovered there was a course called Electrical and Electronics Engineering(EEE),
I made up my mind to study EEE, failed at d first attempt buh nw here I am an EEE student to b in OAU

finally m not studying EEE because of pressure from parents or because of anybody buh because Its wat I love
shoutouts to all EEE niggas around d world

If you are just joinin us, the programme is Testimony Time by TimmyTimmy. We wouldn't want you to miss a single Testimony cos they are all source of encouragement and lesson to others. We shall now give extracts from each Testimony. Relax and enjoy the show.

TimmyTimmy settled for something quite different from his passion(writing) with little or no parent's influence and challenges.

Uumm's initial desire was to be a Med doctor. He was later devastated after failing to gain admission to study medicine. There was parent's influence. But he's in for his initial desire.

Chamaka01's first aim was to be a lawyer. Dad's decision was medicine but she was terrible in science subjects ; lost interest in biology. She's now in for medicine which is different from first aim and future target.

Stay tuned we'll be right back.

Okay, here’s mine.

I can relate well with Timmytimmy ‘s early life. I was naturally intrigued by electronics and would dismantle any I found around me. It got to a point I was able to repair my own toys. I was very inquisitive and creative as a child, I still am.
At a very young age I wanted to be an engineer. I also wanted to be a footballer as I have full interest and I’m very good at it. It’s my favorite hobby, I hope the students of OAU play ball very well if not, they no try for me. embarassed Though, I was amazed by other professions but those two topped my list. I have utmost interest in computers and cars (started driving at the age of 15 cool ).

I have a flair for Mathematics and Further-Mathematics. I never for once thought of being an art student, it’s just not my thing. Seeing bulky notes gets me depressed. Anyway, it seems science was just made for me. Maths, F/Maths, Biology and Chemistry were my favorite in Senior Secondary School and I was excellent at them and very good at the rest. At one time, my mum tried telling me to go for medicine indirectly, it failed tongue . All in all, I made my parent really proud this year with my WAEC result, had only 2 credits, the rest were A’s and B’s. Didn’t even bother writing NECO sef.

I knew a long time ago that I’d study something computer related, just didn’t know which exactly. So I did research on Computer Science and Computer Engineering and found out that Computer Engineering students do most of the courses offered by Computer Science students and then here I am.

I want to make an impact on the world just like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates et al. I could consider dropping out too if the idea comes by. cheesy

*drops mic and walks out*

Recently, I started having a thing for lawyers. Thanks to Suits and Scandal, anyone who watches either of them would understand.

I now nominate superT14 and tayor399.
