This shameless old hypocrite called OBJ should go and rest abeg. See him calling someone else an "unclean vessel". . ..as if he is cleaner. We all know that Atiku is corrupt (like virtually all Nigerian politicians/public officers are), but OBJ is even more corrupt! Atiku was already extremely rich before he became Vice President, whereas OBJ was on the brink of bankruptcy when he was released from prison in 1998. How did he become a multi-billionaire afterwards?

His beef with Atiku has nothing to do with corruption (since they are both corrupt anyway). He hates Atiku because of the wahala he gave him during their tenure (first, for almost scuttling his second term ambition, and second, for scuttling his illegal third term bid). He hasn't forgiven Atiku ever since, and we all know how vindictive and unforgiving OBJ is.

Good to know we still have we'll informed people around. Most Nigerians are plagued by cognitive dissonance and disillusion.

Both men have nothing to offer. We need a new breed of leadership. Fresh stock is what we need. Watch out!

If you want to bring any economy down, input corruption into their way of life and that nation will fall. You need to do a little research on who ousted Shagari, and mind you what buhari/idi-agbon achieved in 18 months, no govt has achieved such. Nigerians were respected globally, it all declined after IBB came in, encouraging 419 and drug barons, such as what obj lamented as our present day problem in Nigeria.
Voting out PDP to any other party LP, APC or what have you would simply make the pdp sit up and realize that Nigeria is not their heritage but belongs to all of us.

Also there has never been evidence of corruption in Gen. Buhari led PTF. I wish such a body existed today and run the way Gen. Buhari ran it.

Is stealing itself not a crime?
Those of you twisting and accusing the President of saying Stealing is not Corruption are mischievous.

By the way what is corruption?

This is the definition of Corruption by the English Dictionary:
The act of corrupting or of impairing integrity, virtue, or moral principle; the state of being corrupted or debased; loss of purity or integrity; depravity; wickedness; impurity; bribery.



From the definition you will notice that the word corruption is simply a word that defines any actions or activity that is frown at by the society. The word corruption is a collection of illegal activities liable for punishment by the court of law.
To sum it all up, 'Corruption' is another word for 'Criminality'.
What are criminal acts?
Criminal acts are illegal activities that are also liable for punishment by the court of law. Thievery, Armed Robbery, Murder etc are all acts of Criminality. If any individual commits any of the above he/she is liable to be tried based on the crime the individual commits by the law.
Example, in the court of law an individual who commits acts of Armed Robbery for instance is charged with a count act of 'Armed Robbery'. Why can the individual be charged with criminality? Because criminality is a verb. It doesn't define the act. You can't charge someone who commits armed robbery with criminality. Imagine hearing on tv that an individual was charged with criminality. It doesn't make any sense. Criminality does not defines the act. Armed Robbery on the other hand defines adequately the act the 'individual' committed, hence appropriate punishment served upon conviction.

Same applies to corruption. What are acts of Corruption? Embezzlement = stealing of Public funds, Over Invoicing, Bribery etc. Now if you want to charge someone to court who, say embezzle public fund, would you charge him/her for committing corruption? Does that defines the act? Of course not. The individual would be charged for acts of embezzlement. Why the word embezzlement? Because it adequately defines the act committed by the individual.
Now you see what the President meant?
Embezzlement = Stealing (Taking something that belongs to someone else without their permission). Is stealing a crime? Yes it is! Anyone who Embezzle public fund is a THIEF! That's the BIG MESSAGE the President was trying to put across to Nigerians but you and your partners try so hard to twist the message and make it sound like Mr President is condoning corruption.
It's high time Nigerians start defining people by their acts and actions and not just vainly using the word Corruption.
