Silly post. Pls replace the highlighted with GEJ. Why didn’t he confront the terrorists initially with like 25% of our military resources given the size of that region?

[b]Assuming a decisive action has been taken against the terrorists initially[/], the situation won't have deteriorated into the present situation where they are holding parts of the country to ransome.

If na election, dem sabi release plenty soldiers.

Everything just seems like a coordinated attempt to have that region in disarray before the general elections.

And back to the topic...
Why do we like massaging our ego in this country? These are not pictures of military deployment to battle.

Which he did but your masters were screaming genocide

Why has the Nigerian Army so far avoided the purchase of Mini-Guns? The Mini-Gun has proven to be the most effective, especially in this case where Boko Haram has proven to have men in large numbers. I have looked through several catalogues of Nigerian weapons, and there is no single one Mini-Gun. Are these people really ready to win this war?!

Cos the USA wont let Nigeria.some Ogas at 5he top frm the North made sure of that hence the SA deal

Why all the abusive words towards each other, Sometimes I just wonder how some people reason atleast we all should be happy about this improvement by the NA and keep cheering and praying for them. I don't care who are the supporters of boko haram but very soon God will surely expose them, it may not be today but I belive whatever God did not plant doesn't last forever. I don't want to say much becouse those people suffering from brain malfunction will quote me. I arrest my case

why on earth will some ass dirt, Nigerian makes such a blatant statements and accusations agaist a man like buhari , I stand to be corrected that the only saviour to salvage our bad governance is a man like buhari, why Nigeria can never be like America, is because my people are so myopic in seeing the level of enrichment of our so call leaders, yet Nigeria is one of the poorest country in the world ,and one of the most endowed interms of resources what an irony. wake up my people!

That was when the political arm of Boko Haram said it was not terrorism.

Major General Muhammadu Buhari was quoted widely, in heaven and on earth, saying the murderers should be given amnesty based on the precedent in Niger Delta.

That's what is called political pressure. They went far and wide putting pressure on the international community not to label these murderers terrorists.

If the military had used 0.1% of our military resources, we would not have seen what we are seeing now, Buhari and his other people would have said the military killed their 'militants'.

Indeed, that was what they alleged when General Ihejerika emasculated these bastards and pushed them to Niger and Cameroon. They petition the ICC in the Hague alleging genocide.

We should bear these facts in mind always.

Madam, you're welcome to go visit the battlefront to take pictures. We dey wait you!!!

The lady made a good point. The army has a media department and I believe taking pictures of its activities can't be rocket science. BH made full length videos and edited them sef, asking the army for the same is not trying to disparage it, in fact we simply want it to take the media war more seriously because YouTube is awash BH's propaganda vids, the army would be wise to counter.

FYI, why do must of those "jets" look like trainer aircrafts? I mean even visual inspection shows that they have little to weapon systems attached.

I CAME HERE TO SEE PICTURES OF THIS EQUIPMENT IN COMBAT OR IN THE NORTH EAST WITH THE SOLDIERS AND BEING IN HOT PURSUIT OF THE SECT NOT PICTURES OF MILITARY CONVOY DURING THE ARMY DAY CELEBRATION OR CHOPPERS IN THEIR HANGER OR SOLDIERS TAKING SELFIE.

Muslims always look for who to blame for their woes, they never like taking responsibility for the consequences of their actions. Read below and see what one of you who happen to be sincere had to say.

Absurdity of Muslims conspiracy theories

The Reflections of Mehdi Hasan, the presenter Al Jazeera English and Political Director of Huffington Post London On Conspiracy Theories. His September 5, 2014 article on the absurdity of Muslim conspiracy theories was one of the bluntest opinions any fellow Muslim could ever have written on the subject. In the introduction to the article he says: "Some of you may not like my latest column in which I take on the Muslim obsession with conspiracy theories, but it had to be said. Then he wonders: "Why are so many of my fellow Muslims so gullible and so quick to believe bonkers conspiracy theories?" He tackles those who propagate the theory, alleging that the ISIS terrorist leader, Abu Bakr Al-Baghadadi, is not a Muslim but a Jew whose original was Simon Elliot! And they attributed their "facts" to Edward Snowden, a former CIA contractor who is currently in Russia on political asylum. According to Mehdi Hasan, there is no iota of truth in this allegation. He says: "Glenn Greenwald, the investigative journalist who helped break the National Intelligence Agency(NSA) story told me."Snowden never said anything like that and no (NSA) documents suggest it." Snowden's lawyer, Ben Wizner, has called the story a hoax. But millions of Muslims across the globe have a soft spot for such hoaxes." On the 9/11 Muslim conspiracy theories, which alleged that 4,000 Jews didn't turn up for work on 11 September 2001 because they had been "forewarned" about the attacks, Mehdi demolishes this misleading theories. He argues: "There is, of course, no evidence for this outlandish and offensive claim. The truth is that more than 200 Jews, including several Israeli citizens, were killed in the attacks on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre. I guess they must have missed the memo from Mossad (forewarning them of the terrorist attacks)...Yet the denialism persists." Hasan also wonders: "How have peddlers of paranoia amassed such influence within Muslim communities?..Where will it end? When will credulous Muslims stop leaning on the conspiracy crutch? We blame sinister outside powers for all our problems--extremism, despotism, corruption and the rest--and paint ourselves as helpless victims rather than independent agents. After all, why take responsibility for our actions when it is far easier to point the finger at the CIA/Mossad/the Jews/the Hindus/fill-in-your villain of choice." Mehdi Hasan also quotes an Egyptian intellectual, Abdal Munin Said who said: "The biggest problem with conspiracy theories is that they keep us not only from the truth, but also from confronting our faults and problems." "They also make us look like loons. Can we give it a rest, please?" Mehdi Hassan concludes. (Mehdi Hasan is also a New Statesman contributing writer. www.newstatesman.com).
