Nice thread! It really shows that the Northern population is very scanty ....

I could hardly see any meaningful human settlement in those pictures.........I stand to be corrected....but I still wonder where the over 70Million people attributed to the Northern part of Nigeria are living. Looking at the Northern cities on Google satellite map, these city does not seem to hold more than 200,000 people max.

Sir,the indigenes of the south-south are no angels. You are no longer the victims in this 'movie'.Get off your lying, lazy, corrupt, ignorant ar.ses and fix your damn region

Wether you like it or not,the truth is that the North is a parasite that is feeding fat of the wealth of Southern Nigeria, particularly the south-South. What is really funny is that for a people who contribute little or nothing to the Nigerian state, they also want control the state of affairs in the country. Very laughable.

Am ashamed to say I have never heard of that state " Dutse"

I didnt know there was a state by dat name.

So embarrassed embarassed

Young woman, I understand your embarassment. Nevertheless, it's wrongly placed, because there's certainly no state in Nigeria that is called "Dutse State". There's however Jigawa state (formerly part of Kano) with it's capital town (not city) being DUTSE. Now, can I see you blush?

It's on Kaduna-Abuja expressway, a very vast expanse of land. But I guess the main activity there is poultry since big housings for chickens are visible from the highway.

We were talking of kano.
So of what good or importance is the poultry farm since we still import close to 80% of that nation wide?

What happened was rather unfortunate, but i think we are re-writting history now with the experience on both sides of the divide. You need to imagine being born here to appreciate how homely it is. Being on the other side, it's easy for you to pass judgement, but most people here would have no other place to call home like this place. Religious or ethnic differences and violence can happen any where irrespective of where you are.

Don't mind that guy, he is just trying to make you hate by force.

lool, see how you made Minna look fine, brethren do not be deceived, that place is one of the hottest parts of the world with the most backward set of black people you can ever think of, really wicked at heart and proud in their ignorance. the worst pretenders you can see, they will hide to drink alcohol, and they would be the first to call for your head, when you drink alcohol, they act like sex is a crime, but at night at almost all the corners of fences in that town you will see pairs, sometimes the women are seen wearing hijabs which on careful inspection, you will see a hijab with 4 legs under it,, very ugly women they parade, and thanks to the heat there, the average woman from there sees personal hygiene as a very heavy burden/challenge...they need to stone that their governor at the end of his tenure and ask him what he did for 8 years...only the state capital is worth living in but every other part is like the backyard of hell fire, poverty stricken, and ironically they have almost an uninterrupted supply of power, but they don't even enjoy it or know how to generate some income with it, so its just a case of wasted power in my opinion. if not for students in that minna that makes the economy of the town vibrate a little, I wonder how they would have survived. anyways my rant is over.
peace

But the issue is not snapping selected buildings and landmarks which can be found anywhere in the country. If one embarks in snapping and posting on the web from just one state elsewhere he/she can have more if not more beautiful than the ones posted here. In just one state in southern nigeria you have more than the ones posted here. The question is outside these northern capital towns, how do the people, rural communities and villages fare and look? Mud and archival houses and landmarks filled everywhere. As far as I am concern what we have is still the continuation of deception going on, window dressing while there is total poverty and decay in majority areas of the north, only the capitals are portrayed as developed. Ibadan, Benin or Calabar or Enugu or Port Harcourt or Owerri or Abriba or Uyo alone you will get more beautiful and even more in number these buildings, roads and landmarks posted here. Whom are you trying to deceived or confuse? The truth is that your old and some of the present leaders have deceived, used and exploited the present northerners and indeed all nigerians in their several years of ruling nigeria. They should wait let the progress which the leaders (presidents) from south has initiated stabilize before thinking of getting power again.

^^^You write off what they did to us during events leading up to the civil war as 'rather unfortunate'; what of what they did to us during the civil war; what of what they did to Akaluka in Kano; what of what they did to those poor youth corpers after the 2011 elections; what of all the countless other evils they've been committing ever since this boko nonsense broke out.......you call all this just 'rather unfortunate'?

You would rather all this is kept swept under the carpet so this fraud of a country can continue stumbling along in the dark! If we don't learn from our past mistakes, but just pretend they didn't happen, then we're bound to repeat them again and again! All that is needed for a truly united country to emerge is for everyone to admit their mistakes and apologize, and with restitution paid where necessary; but we all know that ain't gonna happen!

To get an idea of just what the Hausa/Fulani think of you (since you claim to be Igbo), why don't you see the youtube video on the xenophobic and divisive statements Ahmadu Bello made about Igbos! You also realize there's a documentation of proceedings in the Northern House of Assembly during the first republic in which the members where debating on how to curtail Igbo businesses in the north and stop selling land to them?......When i read this i was horrified! The only reason they're tolerating your 'nyamiri/infidel' arsse in their region is because they want 'one Nigeria' with all the benefits that comes with it!

I don't hate anyone, but i'll be damned if i keep quiet like you while my people are being slaughtered and threatened in any part of this country....a country they asked to leave, yet were forced back into with millions of lives lost in the process! I say it as it is!!

With all due respect, what you narrated is your story from your own angle as it suits you. But you fail to realise that something actually triggered the whole events that led to the civil war which in all honesty i don't want to indulge in it. Don't forget also that a northerner has his own side of the story that probably made him a victim at one point. Moreso, it baffles me when only Igbos claim the most victims in an event of crisis. Other tribes suffers too but chooses to bear the brunt. You can't tell me that northerners in the east prior to the civil war didn't suffer similar fate? This happen and we are not pretending it didn't, but we have to learn from each others mistakes and make correction. By the way, I am Idoma- Igbo from Igbo eze north L.g.a of Enugu state.

Why you cannot see anybody out of the 70 million attributed to north is because most of them are leaving in the caves in rural areas and come to work from there.

Suit yourself.Just look at the laughable faces/'men' representing your region...Jonathan..Dokubo..Tombolo...Clark.All pathetic excuses for human beings.Continue deluding yourselves and blaming others for your shi.tty regions' deplorable existence.Just look at the illegal refineries being operated all over the region and the pipelines being 'cracked' by gangs inorder to siphon fuel for sale.Gangs funded by thesame 'Niger Delta defenders/representers'.Yet they blame others for the destruction of their land, crop, fisheries and water supply.Corruption galore!!! FACT:The Niger Delta is a cesspit of criminalities
