The Super Falcons of Nigeria would be hoping to pick up another 3 points when they lock horns with the Shepolopolo of Zambia.

Both teams had mixed fortunes in their opening games. The Zambians lost 0-2 to fellow debutants, and hosts, Namibia. Whilst the Super Falcons beat Cote D' Ivoire 4-2.

Referee: Insaf El Harkaoui (Morocco)

Facts:

Ifeanyi Chiejine scored the Super Falcons 100th AWC goal, against South Africa in the 2008 edition.

The Falcons have also scored 132 goals since the current format began in 1998. So far, Nigeria has played 41 matches since inception.

Perpetua Nkwocha's 11-goal haul in the 2010 edition is the record for most goals scored in a single tournament.

Nkwocha and Mercy Akide are the only Falcons players to have scored in the AWC, Olympics, and FIFA Women's World Cup.

Nkwocha, 38, is the oldest player in this year's AWC.
A 16 year old Zambian is the youngest.

This is why I don't like those women called (Super Eagles) they won't sit, watch and learn how the men (Super Falcons) won Ivory coast and will still trash Zambia, they'll be forming say dem dey play for Chelsea, Lille, Fernebarce, CSK Moscow, Celtic, Braga etc undecided so no need even when they can't make ordinary 0.001m pass to each other huh.

Go guys (Falcons) and do us proud.
I banned any spirit of Emenike (drought) in our attack and Mikel (slowbie) in our midfield and other players especially our defence.

God bless our falcons, God bless Nigeria.

Lol afrok u funny o. Well we don have snaikelic replicants in falcons. Its just a few selfish players, but they know what to do.

I think the team needs to rally and make Nkwocha remember this tournament in a golden way by playing with much flair and agility.

She is our Birgit Prinz cool

i know she'l retire on a high!

U are right! I think the energy is no longer there for her but u can't takeaway her class, coz class is permanent. I believe in the men ( oops... Women), Falcons being making us proud since time immemorial.

lol sure they have. Just the world cup they didnt feel/do high and i would have loved a foreign coach for them instead of the super eagles. That would have broken the jinx. Zambia should be thinking of stopping us from scoring beyond 5 for now. Its a star-studded team.

grin grin grin grin grin grin Zambia will be thrashed.

I always knew Cote D' Ivoire would be our difficult test in the group, being that they are also West Africans that could adopt a physical approach. And I was not surprised on Saturday to see them match the Falcons for strength.

Yes ooo... Each time I watch or remember Oshoala play, i feel like giving one of our super eagles midfielder bra to wear so that he can replace Oshoala at the female while she replaces him at the male level undecided. But I'll rather feel the women (Super Eagles) should be thinking how to score against Sudan coz no matter how hard the Zambian team thinks, they won't know how and when the goals will start coming in, they might even lose count sef tongue

dont worry the 'ladies' in the super eagles would leave once Sia1 is back. Groin and waist pain would be their excuse come that time.

Two youth team players winning the best player@ their respective tournaments.

Oshoala and Iheanacho

she is in the senior team already...
He is not in the senior team. Reason is the usual 'his time would come'
make we wake up o.
