I am based in abuja and want to ask for help. I experience shortage in d power steering oil guage and have been topping it regularly. I have given it to my mechanic twice for repairs but no improvement has been recorded. D last tyme he worked on it, he said it was d steering rack n suggested he repairs it and av d seals changed rather than buying a new one. But after spending almost 20k in 2 separate repair attempts its still d same old story. Just topped d oil dis monin n observed leaking power steering oil just under d steering rack by d drivers side. D power steering pump seems not to b leaking. Pls I wanna ask for a permanent fix n ow much d steering rack costs so I replace it outrightly if dat will solve d problem. Al also appreciate a referal for a gud mechanic in kubwa abuja. Thanks.

Go and buy another power steering rack and stop throwing money around. That same money if I ask you to pay that amount as workmanship would you? . I don't know of good mechanics in Abj but you could try Automedics.

A tokubor steering rack costs 25k please save ur self the stress and replace it.

I tink al just buy a tokunbo steering rack and save myself all these stress.

tka but some mechanic wicked oh,my mechanic told me it was 45k imagine. When I went to d zuba spare parts mkt I bought d steering rack for 22k n paid anoda mechanic to fix it. D car is now fine.

Pls house...My toyota camry 1999 vibrates when idle...I had a rubber beneath the engine holding the exhaust replaced but the shaking returned after few dayz. Please what can I do?

SO basically when you replaced the rubber in the first instance the vibration stopped right?
