The conventional gender role has always been: Father is the head, Mother cooks, takes care of the children, father provides, mother takes care of the home.

Thank God for feminism, western societies have moved into the more unconventional roles where the dad can now be a stay-at-home dad and the woman has a choice.

Firstly, I cited three names: Alice Walker, Angela Davis, and Assata Shakur on the peripheral. From my post, I just included Assata Shakur because of how much of a warrior she was during the Black Panther Party Movement, and not because of feminism. And in your rebuttal, you dismissed every single one of them as irrelevant, hence I questioned your knowledge of history, if you could be so dismissive of both Alice Walker and Angela Davis, who were at the forefront of Black Feminism, after the roles they both played in the Civil Rights Movement. Don't you think it's right that I question your knowledge and understanding of the ideology you claim you're a part of? Learn your history, you attended an HBCU!

Secondly, how can say you're black, and you don't support black feminism - when mainstream feminism excluded the unique struggles of black women - hence the need to create black feminism, to bridge the racial gap and give a voice to the unique struggles of black women? That's like saying I'm a black African, but I do not support Nigerian interests. Can you see the cognitive dissonance, and how much of an oxymoron that is?

Also, womanism is different from black feminism. While black feminism is about gender inequality, in relation to the unique struggles of black women - womanism doesn't dwell on that. So, stop conflating two different ideologies, and do more research about what you're claiming, because you sound very confused now.
