For the life of me, as much as i believe Jack is a good player and still has what it takes to be a great player. He does not seem to be having any influence whatsoever for AFC for most parts of the season so far.

For the life of me, i was bewildered as to how long it took AW to actually take him off the pitch. His positioning off the ball is getting poorer for a midfielder but still he has time and the switching of roles playing for England and AFC may really be affecting his game.

My question really is "Must he always start?"

It may only have been ten minutes and maybe the overall team lost their discipline, but once he came off, suddenly gaps started appearing, and there was a lot more "off the ball" movement which caused Anderlect some problems.

I really feel for those young Anderlect lads cos they actually did not deserve to lose that game, but that's where the inexperience plays in.

Arsene's team selection and the "Jack always starts syndrome" is really worrisome at the moment. Well maybe he tried it out with ramsey and got the best out of him but really it took a whole season for that to pan out and heck...... I'm simply short of words.

Poor game with needed results is what the whole story tells.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by debosky(m): 3:04pm On Oct 23, 2014
^^ Both Ramsey and Jack were abysmal, unbelievably so. The whole team is struggling and rudderless at the minute so it's quite worrying.

If you take away Gibbs, Chambers and El Nino Maravilla and we'd be in an even deeper mess.

On a different note - while it's early days yet, I hope all the 'why spend £16m on Welbeck when you can get Balotelli' crew are at least contemplating they may have been wrong on that count.

In the cold light of day I didn't really care how we won yesterday - just that we did. 6 points is much more comfortable and if we can beat Anderlecht at the Emirates we should be pretty much guaranteed qualification.

Well, just here to announce that i have officially joined the WOBs. To hell with all AKBs. Wenger is out of ideas.
With the game balanced at O-0 and 50mins played, the onus was on arsenal, the supposedly big team on the paper, to show signs of frustration and shake things up a bit by making substitutions, but the senile Wenger keeps calm, and only went into panic substitutions when the team went 1-0 down, it's as if he was playing for draw, and only woke up when the draw was slipping away.

Arsenal is now too big for wenger, he should leave at the end of the season, irrespective of how the season pans out for Arsenal.

He just needs to win 3 games consecutively before you change chorus again. Don't get ahead of yourself, he is the best Manager in North London.
