Just woke up and saw this..... Both direct and indirect jobs. Well its quite realistic! Only a visionless individual will argue more. Ford Assembly plant in carlifornia is over 9miles long with more than 12000 workers! Toyota has over 400000employees(direct and indirect). Look its about time factor, always look at the bigger picture. If you always wish to see projects with immediate result, they will be gone within 5yrs and u will have nothing. All we need is Ajaokuta steel company fully operational and stable power. That figure can be achieved in 10-15yrs cuz its a long term project. Have you asked Ūя̲̅ self how much job(direct and indirect) the communication industry has generated(and stil generating) over d past 11yrs!? Think before you write, people forecast the economy with facts and mathematics, you seat in ur parents house clouded with emotions and sentiments and judge blindly undecided

My thought: Is this people(nigeria political leaders) using voodoo on nigeria masses ??, is it the masses that's daft ??, many things really gone wrong with this country right from the beginning, I mean, how can 1 country have three hundred and something languages n one expect them to talk in one voice, of course not...hmm..I told my uk friend that nigeria have three hundred n 5
Fifty languages, he said wow! How are they able to live together as one? I couldn't answer cos I know deep down my heart we are not living as one only our political leaders makes it look so due to their selfish interest but they know too we are not 1 nigeria. Nigerians discuss national issue with sentiments n tribalism even when they are dying of same national stress like corruption,insecurity, unemployment,power failure,bad roads,et al, when one try to make sense someone will reply with tribalistic comments...one nigeria my foot...only in nigeria one will be using same method over n over again and expect different results...smh...every little thing god come to our aid, get this into ur thick skull,god doesn't answer hypocrites.

Promises made to a naïve girl when desperate for a taste of paradise. I can still remember vividly the roadmap GEJ unfolded in 2011 of lighting up Nigeria. This is a period for GEJ to Give account of stewardship for the past 4years. GEJ should appear before the village square and voice out all campaign promises he made in 2011 and if it co responds with facts on ground then he may yet make it out alive.

Yep, automobile policy will create 700,000 jobs. Just like GEJ came out and said his administration has created 2.5million jobs. Yet you still see graduates flock in the vacancy section on Nairaland to try and secure a job and you notice many still carrying their C.V up and down.

Did they consider the clearing agents and road side panel who are self employed but will now need to work under stallion ? Will you classify that as part of the new job? What the auto policy will do is change what is the wealth of many men into the wealth of one man.

we are all sure that jobs will be created. my guarantee is that more jobs will be lost than gained. nigeria has no comparative advantage in making cars. when a nation depends on protectionism as in cement. rice to grow, its misleading and sad.

at the end of the day the foreigners/ expertriate will take 99% and Nigerians will now fight for the remaining 1 % abi? that is d kind of economic policy we operate here. Nigeria my country! the case of Arik is an example ,the engineers and pilot position are filled with expertriate . while u have our own qualified engineers and given stiffer conditions to gaining employment in Arik air. Stop deceiving us pls.
