U Guys are here praising amechi. Teachers haven't been paid for 7 months, even civil Servants and corpers. All being owed. Road projects on stand still. The mono rail is a waste. My neighbor was recently evicted by my landlord because he couldn't meet up with the rent (as a civil servant). Amechi has been diverting state funds for his political agenda. Can't Bahari, the incorruptible judge, call him to order. Is this how apc want to transform nigerian? By bribing over 20k ppl to sing their praises in a stadium?? Tufiakwa... May God help Nigeria

I beg to disagree with u my brother. Obj only concluded a process Abacha's regime started - talking about GSM. Also, u have to remember, we have 2 different personalities here. Obj is one and Gej another. To this end there must b glaring differences between these two. Gej isn't a war time president, n wether u like it or not Nigeria has been at civil war since d days of Obj against Niger Delta militants n now with Boko Haram, if u doubt me check our security budget n u will discover Nigeria currently spends over 60% of her national budget on security. Amaechi n co have treated the office of d president with so much disrespect n profanity. This has to STOP. Fashola doesn't address d presidency that way. If u feel u are popular, pick a form and vie for d post. Remember, the heretic of an age, is usually the Saint of d other. Rather than focus on what Gej has not done, why don't we concentrate on the positive things he has done? things like revitalisation of our railways, addition of 6 federal universities, stabilisation of crude oil production, construction of roads, privatisation of power sector to increase productivity, introduction of Almajiri schools, completion of several power projects, etc. I know we still have a long way to go, but at least we are still moving. I'm not a politician, I don't support any party also, but I know that our leaders ought to b respected by us all if we all want to b respected outside. This is my take.
You said OBJ completed what Abacha started can you remember someone also rule Nigeria for about 11months before OBJ why can't he conclude the deal Abacha started? We are talking about insecurity and you during GEJ and you saying it's because OBJ has fought war in the past or something...what has that got to do with tackling insurgent? You said Ameachi insult GEJ, Where are you when PEJ is insulting Ameachi a duly elected Governor and a mere first lady who is not even recognize by the constitution. Bro GEJ brought that upon himself by not focusing on Nigeria instead he is tackling Decamp Governors.... You said 60% of our budget are being spend on security but half of that are been looted and that is the reason why military boys open fire on there Boss in Maiduguri. The $9.7m and $5.3 seize in SA was looted and because breeze blow fowl yansh open and they change story and said it's meant for arm. Then why negotiate with BH boys then when you know you going to buy arms.

This rally took place today 25th October 2014. With this kind of crowd I saw here today, PDP in Rivers state is in for a serious battle.
Sorry 2 announce to u dat desame crowd could b at liberation stadium if PDP coms calling. crowd at party rallies is a wrong way 2 measure opinion polls in Nigeria.

And for u guyz in diaspora(outside Rivers State) who tink up2 80% of ppl in dat rally wasn't paid, u beta com down 2 earth(Rivers state) and c for yaself. any wonders y d RSHA approves loans and or withdrawal from reserve any time an APC rally/event is abt 2 take placehuh
First it was 30bn before OBJ visited and now 19bn before Amaechi's 7years in power. My advice to Amaechi is 2 argue or oppose FG constructively and with a little respect for d office of the President.

Una dey make me laugh, is it by organising Rally?

The Honorale Governor of Imo State(Rochas) could organise a rally in Imo state and b rest assured that whatever venue he uses will overflow with people. But even his most ardent follower knows he will leave Douglas house 2015. Ppl in Imo state are fighting for the governorship ticket in Imo state because they know it will be so easy to defeat APC.

in my own little naive political calculations, APC cannot win in the SE/SS. That is why Amaechi is going all around fighting hard, unfortunately it's going to be fruitless.

RIVERS will not vote against GEJ/PDP at least in the 2015 election

APC should work towards 2019 election in my humble opinion

By Steven L. Jaja
65, 000 youths turned up for the APC mega rally
in Port Harcourt and were paid N3, 500 each. My
cousin collected too. Do the multiplication.
Amaechi is still owing 2012 Corp members their
allowee.
Amaechi is yet to pay the 13, 000 teachers he
hired their salaries after many months of working
for the state.
Amaechi is now the ATM of APC.
My state is bleeding courtesy of Amaechi but he
won't go unpunished
Fellow Nigerians, if PDP or APC organizes and pay
you, pls happily collect it and vote for your
conscience during the election.

I'm grass roots as far as Rivers State is concerned and completely on ground at least in Obio/Akpor, Ikwerre and Etche LGAs. Even in Oroazi/Rumueme/Rumuepirikom which is Nyesom Wike's enclave, people are following GDI/PDP out of fear or threat. Even some Ikwerre youths organisations are supporting Jonathan out of fear and threat. I'm neutral for example but most times I act like I support Jonathan just to survive the threats but I won't vote him except on gunpoint.
Y is it dat APC members r always saying they r neutral? Or r u ashamed of being called a janjaweedian.

Emphasis here is on the evidence of payment and not on the claim

Go to the state.... I went there and will be back there within the week.

The people are full of curse... Crowds can come from anywhere including neighbouring state... A man allowed to draw 19 billion naira to settle contractors can stage anything

You and your likes are the problems of nigeria. That is why when i hear trash spewd out in form of words from your like minds, i clamour that we should break the country.. i have no problem with anybody who handles the mantle of leadership and their ethnic region. Where i have a problem is when such persons fail to deliver on good leadership and goveranance. It doesnt matter if a yoruba man rules for 20years. What matters is if his tenure positively affected the lives of citizens for good.. now people like you are biased in your thinking and base your decisions on mere facts that because somebody comes from your region and he is messing and heating the polity up, he should still remain there? fr the single fact that you can say trash like this, its safe to say there is no hope comimg soon for the development of Nigeria.. i pity the future of this country based on your doltic mentality
seriously , there are some kind of people we need to get rid of in this country . people who think just like that dude are the ones to start wth.

To say only 10k people were at that rally is an insult to the pictures you saw.. even in a full capacity stadium, the least amount of people you would see is 65k. Just on the seats. Now, both seats and the field was filled. Recalculate. Nothing less than 70k people were here.. doesnt this picture look similar to the immigration exams where over 1m youths attended? Be careful.
Even if you say a 100k people were at the rally I won't argue that, but what I can assure you is that more than half of the crowd were rented!
Now on performance, Amaechi has not delivered as much to warrant the noise he and his supporters make everywhere.
Salaries of civil servants in the state is in arrears, the few road projects in the state are on stand still because of lack of funds.
Most of the towns in the state has not seen any significant govt attention just because they did not give the governor a block vote during the last election, Elelenwo is an example.
The abandoned mono rail project is only a conduit to siphon state funds, otherwise why conceive a rail project that goes no where, a distance that's less than 5minutes walk?
Let no one mention dwindling federal allocation because we know how much the state gets both from allocation and IGR.
Match this with what we have on ground and you will see why the governor and his cronies must think twice before they call Jonathan.
Yes he built schools, but those were contracts for political settlement of which he confessed that some politicians embezzled and each of them were awarded for more than 200m!
I have no problem with the governor, but I have problem with a man who loses every sense of decorum each time he touches the microphone

atimes you may loose your decorum , you just said lack of funds , some of those projects that are stalled were given to some pdp politicians , he keeps saying it , mentioning names and figures , has any of the politicians claimed they were not awarded the contracts .... the teachers being owed will be paid definitely..... there is no such thing as a perfect government but not that we have to appreciate one that is taking whats near perfection to imperfection . the federal government is not trying compared to what some of these states have been able to do ... come on there are obvious decisions the govt can make if not for corruption ... our steel industry isnt functioning and we talking auto to be created in nigeria .. michelin is out , refinery not functioning ... majority will agree not to have good roads at the moment but to have industries working properly first ... that would create jobs ... what the average nigerian needs is just to mae a living.

There's nothing you and your likes can write to cover the truth. I've thought deeply and realized that there is no single completed federal road in the entire Southeast and South-South under Jonathan's watch. If there is any please list them. On the other hand the rally was held at a Stadium completed by Amaechi. Even the Airport has not been completed till date. It is such a shame that you could shy away from this simple truth just because of regionalism.

Now let me list few things completed by Amaechi

Over 350 public schools of unequalled standard.

Over 140 health centres.

Olu Obasanjo road complete with underground drainage

Stadium road complete with underground drainage

Port-Harcourt/Owerri expressway complete with underground drainage at every settlement and streetlights to Imo boundary.

Rumuola road complete with underground drainage

NTA road to Choba complete with underground drainage

Ada George road complete with underground drainage

Elekahia road complete with underground drainage

Oginigba/Slaughter road complete with underground drainage

Old Aba road complete with underground drainage.

These are just few out of many.
