European Mobile Phone Brand, Wiko, Launched in Nigeria

After three three years, Wiko brand of mobile phones has been extended to West Africa, through the launch 10 phone models in Nigeria, which are now available at mobile phone outlets across the country.

At the launch in Lagos, Wiko released seven models of smartphones and three feature phones for first time phone users.

International Business Director, Wiko Global, Marcel Van de Pas, said “We are delighted to bring the Wiko brand to Nigerian consumers. Wiko is confident that our combination of stylish design, technology, quality and pricing will be a huge success in Nigeria.”

Wiko Highway, has a Gorilla Glass body, 5” FHD screen, 16MP back camera and 8MP front camera.

Wiko Rainbow is fashionable and comes with 5” HD screen, 1.3GHz Quad-Core and 8MP camera to capture all the social moments. It has a sleek design and a burst of colour options to choose from.

Other models of phones launched, include Wiko Goa, Wiko Bloom, Wiko Sunset, Wiko Fizz and Wiko Lenny. The Lenny has a 5” FWVGA screen, 1.3GHz Dual-Core and 5MP camera.

The company said that phone users in the country can find a Wiko that easily matches their style, needs and budget..

both of you maybe applicants yet do not know that this companies will create job no matter how small and also pay taxes to the government.

That they are in Nigeria does not mean they are only interested in the Nigerian market.

How much? Is it cheaper than tecno, infinix, injoo, jaiyu etc? If yes please what is the price? Cos me i have been searching for phone with quadcore 2.0 ghz, 2gb ram, 16gb rom 5inch 400ppi with 3000mah battery for less than 25k.

It a pretty phone, Highway specs are very close to Tecno Z aside battery. Any idea about the price lists.

Well, more varieties to choose from. I hope it's affordable enough.
