the essence of installing CWM on your phone is to make a backup of your current rom in case something goes wrong when tweaking your phone you can easily restore it back. Note flashing CTR/CWM is risky if you don't know what you are doing don't try it.

Has anyone done the glo bis/imei change thingy? Does it require rooting before it can be done?
Also, what's the code for glo 3gb bis subscription and do I need to be on a Blackberry before I can subscribe for it? On Airtel, I subscribe on my Nokia 'Lagos bigboy', don't know if it's the same for glo.

The price is the selling point here. This phone is 'adequate' and cheap enough for my needs. INote has .5 inches larger screen and 1280x720 screen, 16gb and better camera and battery. All at a cost of 20k+. Well worth the price, if you ask me. But, if you have just 14k to spend, go for this. I'll be getting the I note by November ending, not immediately it's introduced by first week of November.
