D fact dat its difficult getting a first class in maths doesnt make it hard.i remember i used to teach final yr maths student maths in uniben...maths just like elect/elect courses re walk over courses to mech students(sorry for the us of words)
.....Ignorance being celebrated....You taught them which Maths course?....If you mention anything like Numerical Analysis then, you truly dont know anything.....

Consider Law especially at Law School level where students run mad because of academic pressure & mental stress. During exams the authorities usually keep a standby ambulance to pick anybody that faints. Students frm other (common law) countries fail the exam with impunity.

just what i was about to say, you failed to add the 5 grueling years of reading law reports, statutes, laws etc...... law is hard joh

Mechanical Engineering or any Engineering course is never easy for anybody.
Quit being a dimwit

Stop playing the pity party. The person you quoted just told you that it is relative and here you are arguing. Passion in what you do is what makes it easy our otherwise.

Haba how did I decide a course's difficulty by its name here

All I am telling you is that there is a reason why medical students spend more than 6 yrs in school while someone studying anthropology spends only 4yrs amid partying and the likes!

The pharmacy students in my school usually spend almost 12hrs in school everyday!

There is a reason why medical students have their own hostels

Have you opened ever engineering math text for once?

That you don't know medical students who are the extreme party and social birds who are doing well doesn't mean they all study 24 hours.

Concluding about someone in Sociology without knowing what they do as well is bad.

Lastly, people in fields outside engineering study maths and I don't see the big deal to hype in engineering maths textbook.

am sorry but, u are about to start your pre-pharmacy school where u will be required to pass all your courses to proceed to Pharmacy school and when u get there, u will start offering an average of 11 courses per semester with at least 2 having a pass mark of 60% while others 50%.

And mind you, the books are bulky so, b ready to get a good big school bag.

These two are the devil themselves.

Firstly, no course in the higher institution is a cake walk otherwise we won't have students who are being advised to withdraw or pursue a career in other courses due to academic incompetence or otherwise every other year. Having said that, however, for the sake argument, let's take a minute to reason along this path: It says in the Holy books that despite the fact man was created last he was given the mandate to rule over all other creatures by virtue of his comparative complexities and supreme intelligence. Man out of his superior wits 'created' all these other courses from the things around him to further explore and improve on his understanding and intelligence and then he decided to go inwards and create a course to study and understand himself( medicine, nursing, dentristry, pharmacy etc) because he knew he needed to be alive and well first before he could have time to create and invent other things. So please how, because i cant figure it out, could man have created another course that is more difficult to understand or explore than a course that actually studies and explore himself, being the most complex and intelligent creature in the universe

Economics is one of the hardest courses to study especially at the Postgraduate level. I know many people will not believe this, because it is not an Engineering course. But do your research well and you will understand how tough it is.

In year one and two, you carry out general course offerings with Mechanical and Metallurgical engineering students.

By third year, you concentrate on chemical engineering subjects, mostly fluid related subjects, you specialize on dynamics of matter, temperature, pressure and volume effects on liquid, solid and gas.

Simple overview.

taking few Physics courses that were easy for you doesn't translate into making Physics an easy course to study.
I had 'A's in all the Mathematics courses i borrowed from 100L to final year (not boasting), but that'll never make me say Mathematics is an easy course to study.

u are right but physics no hard....true talk

Try Radiography. sad
Radiography, astronomy, metallurgy, materials e.t.c are all affiliates of physics. You can't graduate in physics without these topics.

I studied Engineering physics, OAU. in 100 level, we were 88 students. Fast forward to 5years later, only 12 of us graduated, we had 6 extra year students.

what happened to the remaining 70 students, some transfered to social sciences, some were advised to withdraw, some went to covenant uni, some went to polytechnics.

U think Computer Science is photoshop and Ms Word. Do u know how many programming languages you are expected to master before u graduate. Do u know what it takes to build an application like nairaland from scratch, with just pure coding not to mention fields like Artificial intelligence, Data structures and algorithm, Automata theory, Computer Architecture and the likes. How many professors of Computer science do u think there are in Computer science in the whole of Nigeria? Don't be so confident in downgrading a course u know little about. Ask guys from maths, physics and Engineering that come to borrow courses in Computer science how their experiences were?

He thought it's working in a cafe
