Ayosh:
Firstly, no course in the higher institution is a cake walk otherwise we won't have students who are being advised to withdraw or pursue a career in other courses due to academic incompetence or otherwise every other year. Having said that, however, for the sake argument, let's take a minute to reason along this path: It says in the Holy books that despite the fact man was created last he was given the mandate to rule over all other creatures by virtue of his comparative complexities and supreme intelligence. Man out of his superior wits 'created' all these other courses from the things around him to further explore and improve on his understanding and intelligence and then he decided to go inwards and create a course to study and understand himself( medicine, nursing, dentristry, pharmacy etc) because he knew he needed to be alive and well first before he could have time to create and invent other things. So please how, because i cant figure it out, could man have created another course that is more difficult to understand or explore than a course that actually studies and explore himself, being the most complex and intelligent creature in the universe
Well said, life is more complex than any course

Guys, you people are really funny,..... My Opinion; in as much as i respect other courses but I tend to believe that there are courses that requires more than d normal study time for a normal human being (say 3-6 hrs a day) to get a good grade maybe 1st Class and there are others in which anything less than a minimum of 12hrs study a day( and i mean itt, try Chemical Engineering Process Calculations, with Transport Phenomena still waiting for Chemical Engineers....#winks) to get a good grade maybe a 2.1 or First Class.....

go and study MATHEMATICS or STATISTICS., den u will know accounting won't b rated hard course. MATHEMATICS is d bed rock of SCIENCE. u find it in all engineering courses., physical sciences.: PHYSICS.,computer science.,chemistry.,logic in law is about MATHEMATICS. u see y it is a must in O'level.
I ran away from Engineering course coz of math. Got admitted to study Chemistry not knowing this is just the beginning. I did 4maths btw 100 and 200. Coping with annoying lectures that keeps explaining to the board. They don't care. Getting to my major course. Damn, I did a lot of maths in most of my Chemistry courses. Except organic and environment and some drug design courses.

Trust me when I said QBasic is the easiest of all the courses you will come across in Comp Science, and it took u months to learn. How long will it take u to learn the other languages and courses I listed there in my original post.
learnt the basics in like a month.Took me months to be a pro.True, computer science isnt a peice of cake. You hack?cause i got interest.Thats why im learning programming languages in the first place.

You are studying computer science for the wrong reason if ur primary aim is to hack. Hacking goes beyond the glam side of breaking and entering illegally! The simple art of putting code together in itself is hacking! And yes I hack code regularly to get problems solved

As I said before you either make the cut or not.

As to your question depends on who's doing the studying.

E.g Maybe Mech engine is hard for u and u feel education is easy. I put it to you that the same Mech engine is easy to some and that education has frustrated others

. Its all relative.
As you read on you will notice that most people claim their course if study is the most difficult.

Forget that, I'm yet to meet any man that thinks mecahnical engineering is easy.
Yes if you apply yourself to the course a greater level of understanding can be achieved, but that is a very frustrating task, I'm not even studying atomic physics and see the maths I did in college you go fear, now add CAD, Material science, business mgmt, quality mgmt, analytic math, stat math , thermodynamics, fluids engineering, dynamic systems , mechanics and design , control and measurement systems. O; boy forget am you go wan craze

Mechanical engineering has the highest drop-out rate in Europe, and most likely any other continent, there was a 15% graduation rate after 5 years in my college for example

Be it Nigeria or anywhere in the world, Engineering is the most difficult course to study. Medicine and Surgery only require longer years when you add internship and all sort (Requires lots of dedication too, but you only read, understand and pour back during exams). It’s nowhere near engineering when it comes to difficulty in learning. Engineering combines knowledge from physics, chemistry and mathematics e.t.c not to mention the unreal problems you have to solve that require you to think, think again and again.

Students dropped out of Engineering because of the difficulty, so the drop out issue is not peculiar to medicine alone I can speak for Mechanical, Computer and Electrical Engineering...Infact, almost all engineering course has hours of Lab work/practical to go with it. Scheduling is always a nightmare. With engineering, you don't memorize answers for tests… how nice would that have been? You are given unreal problems to solve, with limited time to do so. Having to take 4 levels of Calculus…

The correct list, from the hardest
1. Engineering: Mechanical, Civil, Electrical/Electronics, Chemical, Petroleum e.t.c
Congratulations, engineers, now you finally have some proof for what you’ve been telling everyone all along: yours is the hardest major. From chemical to civil to electrical to mechanical, the courses you take in chemistry, physics, calculus, statistics, geology, biology, and other tough prereqs give you the lowest rate of As and the highest rate of Cs for any major. Because of this, the path has a notoriously high dropout rate some have pegged as high as 60% per year.

2. Life Sciences: It’s a rare student who doesn’t find at least one or two concepts that trip him up in cell biology class. The life sciences include anatomy, biochemistry, neuroscience, biology, genetics, zoology, and more tricky subjects, landing this field just behind engineering on the low GPA spectrum. Many graduates of a life sciences path go on to careers in the medical, dental, or veterinary fields, which famously require as many as seven or eight more years of difficult schooling, internship, and residency after a bachelor’s degree is earned.

3. Physical sciences: Physics, chemistry, and geology all fold into this major, making it one of the hardest paths to take on in college. With the lowest percentage of students able to work full-time (more than 30 hours a week) and the fourth-lowest rate of students with GPAs over 3.5, majoring in this field proves to be a challenging undertaking. And the uphill battle doesn’t end after graduation. A glut of graduates, a poor economy, and a move toward cleaner energy has created a troubling outlook for chemistry majors.

4. Business & management: You may think what your boss does is not difficult at all, and you may be right; a degree in management is probably not what makes this category a difficult one. It more likely lands here thanks to the challenges of getting a degree in finance or accounting. Either way, the data shows well below half of business and management students are able to pull off a 3.5 or better, and they average the second-longest amount of time in which students complete their degrees.

5. Social/behavioral sciences: This category seems to be a popular choice for students seeking an easy A, but they could do so more easily by picking something else. The social and behavioral sciences encapsulate what are sometimes known as the “soft sciences”: psychology, economics, sociology, anthropology, and political science. Although they are much more closely related by GPA to some of the easy major entries than they are to engineering, the social and behavioral sciences house the fourth-lowest number of fulltime workers and are tied for shortest median degree completion time.

For those shouting law, just accept it simply doesn’t rate as one of the hardest…You can even study law from home, Yeah! It’s that easy.
Ignorance is bliss indeed.

The degree of your ignorance is quite befuddling.

Google "Top ten most difficult exams in the world" and you'll find two law exams there.

I need no sage to tell me you're likewise science-inclined.

Making rash comment out of ignorance.

If you've done well to educate yourself and research well before spewing that thing up there here, you could have averted publicly displaying your ignorance here.

You think law is just about reading the constitution and recounting its provisions later?

Lolllsss...

how can u rate physic above dentistry,u think its just a name,u dont know wat dentistry is
If you think dentistry is harder than physics then you need to rethink.

I am an accounting student but I love having diverse knowledge, lately I have learnt a lot about dentistry that even some dentists are like very surprised. I have tried physics but bro... don't let me say much, physics is more difficult than dentistry.

Although it still boils down to individual taste.
