u sure?
DAT is a bullet hole and pump action uses no bullet...cool
yeah they use shells and pellets besides a pump action would have blow his head off

Any my 2 cents is, he was shot from the back of the head, and any one that understands ballistics knows that the exit wound is always larger than the entry one, he was probably shot with a colt commonly know as a 45, since the average cultist can't afford a glock or fn pistol

RIP to the dead

PapiWata:

If that gaping wound is from a 9mm pistol round, then the shooter must have used hollow-tips that expand dramatically on impact, AND, must have shot the man from BEHIND, such that the picture above shows the EXIT wound, and NOT the finger-sized entry wound.

Having used a shotgun all my life for hunting, I am still convinced that what is pictured above is the result of a close range shotgun blast fired from the front, which would have removed the entire back of the victims skull as the pellets exited through the back of his head, though that damage obviously cannot be seen in this picture. The black gunpowder burns around the victim's eye are also indicative of having been shot from the front, at VERY close range.
I don't know much about gun but my experience with those that have been killed with shotgun and 9mm, I am sure they killed the guy in a close range with any other type of gun aside from shotgun cos the shotgun gun I know, won't spare any parts of the guy's upper head on a close range.

I will refer you to this post cos the guy below seem to know more about gun
spade:

Nah. I doubt.
From a distance, a shotgun blast causes a 'shrapnel-like' damage. You'd have to come close to your target to make a single hole; but then, in the case of a human head, a close-range shot would practically blow it apart.
I have a feeling this is a close-range shot from a Glock-17 with Winchester 115gr ammunition.

Why so quick to comment without reading thoroughly, I said the average cultist , or are you trying to say an average cultist can afford a glock 19 for about $600, then why go about with machetes and axes

U may be right, but based on my experience at Ambrose Alli university, Edo State(at one time d WORST university in Nigeria in terms of cultism) those "average cultists" are heavily loaded guys, usually sons of influencial people (mainly politicians), that is why the police are unable to make any arrests, and even they do, the cultists are released b4 a twinkle of an eye.

the machetes and axes are merely symbolic.

You are right, all vigilante groups in Nigeria carry pump action shotguns openly, and far greater numbers are duly licensed for private use, but not shown in public.

The Browning pistol to which you refer above is NOT available to civilians under current Nigerian firearm laws , unless they can produce a special permission document signed by none other than the president of the Nigerian federation. Legally, pistols of ANY sort are ONLY allowed to be carried or kept at home by serving and retired military or law enforcement OFFICERS.

I guess that's at ambrose ali university, but from articles I've read and accounts of cultist activities I've heard, mostly they stab each other and use 2nd hand weapons, sawed off shotguns, 9mm pistols, machetes and axes rarely an expensive gun of more than $600

Dead right. All my high contacts said it is only the president that could give me the special permission to carry a pistol of any nomenclature, Colt, barreta, brownie, police special etc....but i am going for pump action that could be cut to size.

You have made a wise choice. For home defense, there is no more powerful a personal weapon to own than a pump shotgun. Just point it in the general direction of the threat, fire as fast as you can work the action, and watch your troubles melt away under a withering firestorm of buckshot pellets.

A brownie 9 is your best bet because you hardly can decipher the entry wound from the exit wound. It's a very dangerous pistol in the hand of a marksman!

Na pump action work be this one

That is a clean bullet wound at close range friom a pistol. I don't think an AK47 rifle from a distance can be used so effectively by these criminals and there will be an exit wound to the back of the skull by the 7.45mm round.
As for it being a shot gun blast to the headn half of his face, skull will be missing.

No mah friend this is probably a close range single shot to the head by either .45mm or .9mm round from a pistol.

The guy was executed
