I made distinction in Nebosh IGC,presently searching for opportunities in the oil industry.I also have OSHA Professional Cert but do not have experience.I do not want to cook up experience in my resume as I have been adviced.
I need candid advice on how to secure a job as hse officer.

I am a Medical Doctor currently serving. I want to specialize in Occupational Medicine. I want to work in oil company. I'm interested in HSE certification before starting residency so that I can start applying for jobs. I don't know if that will give me an edge in getting oil company job.. If not... what are the training I can undergo to enable me work in oil company as a Doctor.

Pls house i did my HSE with one organisation in Bayelsa here MITA precisely 2and 3 as an enggineern students,but so far so good people have been recommedn NISP the questn is-is ds cert am hooldn useful?/can iit be recognised at all,though the knowledge is there,thanks fr ur contribution

i've been a practicing HSE professional for abt 5yrs in an oil company, and it's been worth the experience. while NISP is a good way to start, u can upgrade to a better recognised certification NEBOSH, they have a center that offer their certification in nigeria and it's expensive 350k. they do it twice a yr in march and sept. so u may have to wait till next yr
