UjSizzle:Good for you. I can adapt but not when I know I can dodge the change. What I mean is simply, how do you learn? When you read what skills do you employ? Do you have a special strategy for observing? When you think through things, how do you arrive at a decision to take? |

ATMC:I am doing fine. By the time I am done, surely, I must have been owed a salary I may not get to receive in two lifetimes. My stipends come too early. Lol. How are 'yhu' doing? |

ATMC:I wasn't even in NCCF in camp. I was more like a "family friend" to the housemates in my place of deployment. So when they were going for rural rugged, I was told to come along. Also attended the State Conference and would have gone for National conference if the venue weren't Jos. Then they wanted me to be their 'aunty' or 'mama' lol. Na slap I wan slap the brother coordinator when he suggested that. Is it strange that I dislike being directly responsible for people, and yet still act in that capacity? It's like I just don't want to be given a title ![]() |

Reyginus:Honestly, I haven't paid conscious attention to these questions before. I do know I'm basically pragmatic; I don't do theory well, and things only make sense once they become practical. I like to create a mental picture; I can achieve that, the lesson is half learned already. As for observation, i just watch. That's all. And because by nature i search for patterns, my mind begins to connect the dots. Isolated incidents are isolated. Double occurrence gives me a reason to pause. The longer the degree of occurrence or repetition, the easier it is for me to draw conclusions. Most times though i can connect several isolated incidents and look for their commonality. Hope i didn't just babble lol coz i feel like it ![]() |

@uju wow...funny yhu hate being saddled with such responsibilty yet at the end of the day yhu indirectly bear them. I was the sec...it wasn't funny at all then, basically 'cos the office of a sec ie aunty or uncle is offensive. But it all ended well shaa. I wish yhu were in my family house. ![]() |

UjSizzle:Lol. No. I understand you perfectly. You didn't. Thank you very much. Just one more question. More like a repetition. How do you decide on anything? As in, how do you choose an immaterial thing like our thoughts over the other, and one material thing over another material thing? |
| Re: The Christian Chatbox ( sticky) by ATMC(f): 4:55pm On Nov 06, 2014 |
Reyginus:...little a muckle makes a mickle... ![]() and hope yhu didn't say that so I won't ask for a loan? |

Reyginus:I try to project the long-term effect of alternative options before making a decision. When I say effects, I mean on myself (what I want and how a choice will help me achieve that) and on others closely related. If the interest of both aforementioned parties clash somewhat, I seek harmony. How much of what I want can be denied so we all get what we want? And how much of what they want can be altered so I'm not short-changed in the end? These are questions I ask myself all the time. Since harmony is what's most important to me, it's my standard for judging a worthwhile venture. Some would call that compromise or diplomacy...or whatever though. If we're discussing materiality, then practicality is the standard. I did tell you I'm pragmatic lol. If A can perform functions 1,2,3,4 and B despite looking good can do just 2 of 4, then I'll pick A. I want sustainable value for whatever I choose to engage resources (material, immaterial even emotional). This is when I ask your reason for these questions ![]() |

ATMC:Lol yeah. Aunties and Uncles are supposed to checkmate the activities of the coordinators. Tough position to occupy. |
| Re: The Christian Chatbox ( sticky) by Nobody: 7:26pm On Nov 06, 2014 |
UjSizzle:Wow! This makes a lot of sense. I like how you harmonize clashing thoughts for the good of all. Nice. I discovered that by learning how people learn I can become a better person. I believe that among us there are people who have developed a system of learning, fast, retentive, that when applied to any problem, reduces it to the tiniest bit. I thought of opening a thread for it but I know it will be thrown out of my favorite section to a place where it might die a painful death. So, I devised this method. You are my first guest. Congratulations. Lol. |
