Re: External Reserve And Debt Under Obasanjo, Yaradua And Jonathan Administrations by Nobody:
It is very clear that Goodluck Jonathan government is ruining Nigeria's economy, destroying what Presidents Obasanjo and Umaru Musa Yar Adua managed to build.

BTW 2008 and 2011 Nigeria earned N20.895 trillion in Oil Revenue Yar adua's era plus TWO years Jonathan (3 years)
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/03/oily-death-how-nigeria-short-changed-oil-producing-areas/

........................................................

In 2012 Nigeria earned N4.36 trillion

In 2013 Nigeria earned $84 billion/ N13 trillion.

in 2014 (Jan-June) we earned $40 billion / (N6.4 trillion)

ANOTHER THREE YEARS: we earned N23.76 trillion- ALL JONATHAN

http://ngrguardiannews.com/business/180185-nigeria-earns-40b-from-oil-exports-in-six-months

In other words, Jonathan HAD MORE MONEY. Others saved and managed the Debt, Jonathan though with more money depleted the reserve and messed up the debt.
You keep mumblin the same rubbish

i hope you know that a countries external debt includes those borrowed by states ? And Nigerians know the states that has mogaged the life of their unborn children with loans to service the ego of a certain Tinubu.this debt includes the one FASHOLE collected for school project he didn't do and ran to court when asked to account for it the one fayemi used to buy that 50million naira bed was also part of the debt and the ameachis private jet too.
So don't make it seem as if the debt is federal government alone .it includes the loans fg signed off for states

You seem not to understand macro economics and governance.

1. The Price of Oil was off-shooting than what was obtained during Obj's era. Yet we didn't experience any growth in Foreign Reserve
2. When Yaradua took over, price of Oil was HIGH and our reserve was going higher and Higher to peak at all time high. It started to dip during the recession, when the oil fell at $30 per barrel. Even at that it wasn't that depleted, and the Change in External Debt was $4 Million
3. Jonathan took over power, the Oil price was soaring, rather than reserve to soar like other regimes, it deepened. Rather than him to take care of external debt, he borrowed more.

Who is the worst administrator?

Not forgetting the other presidents didn't have the same dynamics GEJ is governing under.

Nigeria did not become Africa's economic power house because Gej is imprudent.

What about investment in infrastructure by the various administrationshuh?

To compare debt and reserve of the various governments without also presenting the facts on expenditure or investment in infrastructure is simply misleading!

You cant selectively analyse aspects of the balance sheet and then expect it to stack up!

This is another example of APC supporters campaigning with half truths!

NIGERIA BUDGET UNDER Obasanjo, YAR ADUA AND JONATHAN.
OBASANJO
2005.. N1.8trn
2006.. 1.9 trn
2007.. 2.3 trn

He left foreign reserve from less than 2 billion to 45 billon dollars and our debt was reduced from 30billion to 3 billion dollars. Despite the Oil Price

Yar Adua...

2008... N3.5trn
2009... N3.7trn

Pause: There was downwad in Oil Price, Plus he restored the subsidy removed by Obasanjo. He still left a Good fortune in the reserve and had a almost zero external debt(on his own)

Jonathan

2010... 4.6 trn

2012... 4.48 trn

2012... 4.7 trn

2013... 4.99 trillion

2014... Over 5 trillion

Pause: Jonathan enjoyed increased oil price, he partially removed subsidy, yet the country's debt was increased by almost 3b dollars and our reserve heveily depleted. On a very good ground, the reserve should be soaring High.

All this rambling is geared towards foisting a coupist on this nation, it will not work. Sell us another candidate and we will listen to you but certainly not Buhari

The 2.8b that disappeared under his watch at NNPC is still fresh in our minds

The jailing of Ambrose Ali, Alex while putting his tribes man under house arrest is not forgotten yet

The callous comments he made during and after the 2011 elections that led to the death of many youths is still there to ponder over. The bastard is yet to apologies for those comments , he is yet to condemn those killings, he is yet to stop making inciting comments.

Am guessing you were less than 10 than 10 years in 1983 so you will believe anything they tell you .

Which Infrastructure? Are you aware that budgetry performance of 2013 budget was at a Shameful 40%?
What that means is that, Of the 100% of Capital projects appropriated for, ONLY 40% Capital project was attended to. Where did the rest of the money go?

BTW: Which Infrastructural project?

From Obasanjo to Yar Adua, States took debt. It is not perculiar to Jonathan. Meanwhile, Jonathan's FG Debt is $$$**** (I throw that to you, but I have it here)

Beside, You should not forget Items (External Reserve and crude oil price)

Macro econs or Micro econs, my point is that these presidents faced different challenges and GeJ's is one that has not been seen before. How much have we spent on military hardwares alone to upgrade our military in the past few yrs?..

Boko Haram did not affect Oil Price, unlike Obasanjo who faced Niger Delta Militants and it greatly had effect on oil production and our crude oil earning. You definitely have no point

Oil Coys Pay Ransome= It tells on our tax
Oil Coys cut production= Nigeria loses money

Yet, we had enough in our revenue and almost zero external debt
