OP listen very carefully. No one and i mean NO one is going to fight this battle for the Northerners. They brought this upon themselves and they should clean their own mess. When the going was good, they wanted quota system, they said Army recruitment is solely for the Northerners, the Southerners who were most qualified and willing to defend our territories were disqualified in place of unqualified Northerners. They recruited cowards, terrorists’ sympathizers, spies, and whatnot in place of brave patriotic Nigerians. Now there is a war and suddenly the Army recruitment process now entertains "infidel" Southerners. They don’t want quota system formula anymore, they want Southerners to help them fight their battle. The North can blow themselves into oblivion for all I care and I still wont give half-a-sh*t. Just stop accusing Jonathan of not stopping the terrorists, it wasn't Jonathan who recruited cowards into the army, it was Northern Generals who were also a beneficiary of the quota system. Jonathan cannot pick up a riffle and fight for Northerners if Northerners cannot stand up like men to defend themselves in battle. Enough said! |

Allohrandy:@POST, You can make your argument without insult. Maybe that's how you were brought up - to be violent, aggressive or to force your opinion on people. It could also be as a result of the psychological effects of loosing a close relative or property/displacement to boko haram. Please take heart. We understand your pain. None of us is happy too. However, in concrete terms, can you be honest to yourself and tell all nairalanders what drastic measures taken so far by governors in the North, arewas in the North, political big wig from the North, former presidents and head of state from the North, youth from the North, elders' state men and women from the North and traditional rulers from the North to end this insurgency. You may just list them, then let start from there. Waiting. Thank you. |

By all standards and any measure, the president is not a good president. How many projects completed by him since he came on board? This is a president that is not running an inspired government. He is running a government that is not giving hope to common people. |

The west will not lampoon Jonathan to fall for the nonsense Bokoharam .Northerner should fight their way out from the monster they have produced .Yes Militant in niger delta came up with their issue and it stopped it s fight against the state. But boko is ready to die while fighting the biggest enemy in life. |

rudedough:You just made a critical point. So many incompetent northerners were enrolled into the Nigerian military no thanks to their top army brass of northern origin, the bulk of which are Boko Haram sympathizers. However not every notherner is sympathetic to Boko Haram. Besides the north is also composed of indigenous Christian communities. |

Allohrandy:Security of lives and property is not for the government alone but for all citizens. What can the government do if people refused to cooperate? What will GEJ do if people refuse to expose terrorists elements within the community? GEJ can't do much without the total support of people in the region. If you have lived in the north then you will know what am talking about. Many of the people are very uncooperative. Instead of working with the security personnel in the area, they choose to serve as local Intel to Boko Haram. The terrorists use the information they get from their informants and step up attack on military formations. Do you have any idea of the kind of support Boko Haram get in some northern communities? Do you have any idea that many people who lived together for many years were betrayed, exposed and given out to Boko Haram by people they thought were their neighbors simply because they do not support Boko Haram and were subsequently killed? Terrorism is not a fight for the government alone. It's a fight for all of us. |

major466:stop blaming the northern soldiers. In every military fighting a war there will always be mole however Majority the soldiers are not sympathetic to boko haram. Do you know hundreds of northern soldiers and polices have been killed by boko haram. If not for those soldiers, you probably not enjoying the freedom you have now. Also boko haram is not a northern problem. thousands of southerners have also been killed by boko haram. When bomb is set, it doesn't discriminate between northerner or southerner. GEJ is the CNC of the armed forces and his solely responsible for the appointment of those incompetence senior military officers. Why don't he appoint officers that will get the job done? |

rudedough:stop saying boko haram is a northern problem. Do you know that thousands of southerners have been killed also. Boko haram is a Nigeria problem and we have to fight it collectively. Do you think if boko haram succeed in capturing the whole northern states that they wont also attack the southern states. Their plans is to islamized the whole Nigeria. If this problem is contain as soon as possible, there will be going to be bomb blast and attack in all Nigerian cities. No one is praying for war so its best to for all Nigerian to fight this boko haram problem because its a fight between good and evil |

@ Bad Belle op, Some People are not Nigerians, that is why they oppose any good thing in Nigeria or try to bomb it. They are only happy when it is in their own state, perhaps their bush LGA. Such pettiness! Well, True Nigerians congratulate and are HAPPY WITH AKWA IBOM PEOPLE for achieving such an excellent stadium. Even if it was Fashola that built this, we should be happy for Lagosians because it is all happening in our country! Just as I would congratulate Lagosians when the light rail project is launched soon. Just in case you didn't see it yet, Now see the pictures of the new stadium so that your sadness will increase, then go back to your cave and cry all day! ![]()
