According to LSDP, Governor Fashola was included in 2013 list because he made Lagos an African hub of innovation, launching the Lagos Innovation Advisory Council, with the help of the Harvard Kennedy School.

The list also includes Popo Francis, Former Prime Minister of China Zhu Rongji and Nigerian scholar Adefunke Ekine, for her promotion of science among young female students in Africa.

Akwa Ibom budget N397.141 billion for 2012 + N125 billion supplementary budget = N522 billion. Largest in Nigeria/West Africa.
