Busybody2:LET US LEARN TO LEAVE IN PEACE WITH PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT OF SAME BELIEVE WITH US/ SHARE THE SAME BELIEVE WITH US. I REMEMBERED DURING MY NYSC DAYS(I SERVED IN A VILLAGE IN ISOKO SOUTH LGA, IN A VILLAGE UNDER THE OLOMORO COMMUNITY), THEIR WERE TRADITIONALIST AND CHRISTIANS AMONG THEM. BUT I MOST TELL YOU THIS, THE TRADITIONALIST(BASED ON WHAT I OBSERVED) ARE MORE TOLERANT, IN FACT SINCE I WAS A VISITOR IN THE VILLAGE, I WAS GIVEN THE A VISITOR'S ROOM WHICH WAS OCCUPYING A MINI SHRINE IN THE OTHER ROOM. THERE WAS THE OLD WOMAN WHOM I LOVED SO MUCH, SHE WOULD JOKE WITH ME, ADVICE AND TELL ME THINGS, BUT NEVER FOR ONCE DISCRIMINATED COS I WASNT OF A TRADITION, HER CHILDREN ARE ALL CHRISTIANS AND IN THE VILLAGE YOU SEE THE SO CALLED CHRISTIANS SHOUTING AT ONE-ANOTHER, COMPETING IN TERMS OF DRESSING AND CO, BUT THE TRADITIONALIST WERE JUST HUMBLE AND CONTENDED WITH WHAT WAS GIVING TO THEM BY THEIR LOT. AM NOT IN ANYWAY ACCEPTING SOME OF THEIR MEDIUMS OF WORSHIP COS I AM A CHRISTIAN WITH UNDERSTANDING, ALL I AM ONLY TELLING YOU IS THAT WE SHOULD LEARN TO LEAVE IN PEACE AND PRAY FOR THEM INSTEAD OF BASHING THEM AND COMMITING SIN AGAINST GOD WHO CREATED THEM. |

mcfynest:While I appreciate your talk of religious tolerance,I am miffed at the undertone of "help them, they are helpless" (I might be wrong). In anyway the so called xtians should check themselves. |

Mcfynest.... Part of religious tolerance is not to offer prayers of redemption to people living their lives in peace. You still did not learn from the old woman. |

mcfynest:Smh..... Your religious beliefs are mere convictions. Tomorrow you can change your mind and become a member of a different sect. So your idea of culture is one of intolerance. I guess you're too blind to see that. You've subjected your mind to intolerance in the name of religion. Tell those who are denied opportunities in the name of supplication. In your pursuit of the afterlife you discard common sense. Learn from that old woman, for she is free from mental enslavement.. She welcomed you into her home without judgments or supplication, can christians do the same to a traditionalist..? |

GooseBaba:CHRISTIANITY ISNT A RELIGION TO CHRISTIANS, IT IS A TRADITION, IT IS AN HERITAGE, A CULTURE, A WAY OF LIFE. DO YOU KNOW THAT WE WOULD BE JUDGED FOR EVERY OF OUR FRIENDS WHO WE DIDNT TALK TO ABOUT CHRIST? I LOVE(PART OF) THE TRADITIONAL RELIGION, IT IS OUR CULTURE, THE YOU KNOW HOW THE GOSPEL SOUNDS TO THOSE THAT PERISH? WELL AM NOT A JUDGE, ALL I AM TELLING YOU IS TO PICK A BIBLE, READ AND UNDERSTAND YOURSELF, AND COMPARE THE BOTH. N.B MY MUM IS FROM THE OJE(MASQUERADE) FAMILY IN MODAKEKE, MY DAD IS FROM AN AYAN FAMILY(DRUMMERS). AND I HAVE SEEN BOTH RELIGIONS AT WORK. |

mcfynest:Smh... If you have seen both religion at work..what's your point? And I see why you had no fear staying in a room next to a shrine in a stranger's house. So tell me, how many of your born again christians can do that without fear.. Furthermore, kindly tell me what part of Christianity is your heritage, tradition and culture..? While you're at it. Kindly, tell me how your personal convictions/beliefs gives you the right to become a nuisance, and when challenged, the likes of you shout prosecution.. |

mcfynest:So much idiocy and contradictions in one post. If christianity is ur culture and not that of ur ethnic people people (yoruba) then u are a bastard and a son of a slave You can't claim to respect traditional religion when you have already disrespected it by ur act of bastardry and slavery You worship a dead Jew wat my ancestors would have sent u on a one way trip to Israel for And u claim to love Yoruba traditions such rubbish |

mcfynest:I've never been an atheist. I only pretended being an atheist on Nairaland while exploring atheist state of mind in person. It's a foolish state of mind for renting design in life and hopeless since it predicts eternal death for all men. There is nothing to fear in death, I saw my dad predict and ace it like a man but only a fool will deny that life is preferable to death. |
