The Time Has Come For Nigeria To Divide by laroux(op): 10:34am On Nov 12, 2014
The wealth of the country are in the hands of a few and tribalism is the order of the day. Nigeria is too big for anyone to handle. How can the South that happens to be the hub of the country be marginalised in the politics of the country? We need to stop pretending and tell ourselves the truth. We can't continue to live as one cos we are mutually compatible. General Ojukwu forsaw these things happening in Nigeria a long time ago and advocated for separation. The Hausas/Fulanis and the yourbas think they own Nigeria and feel it's their birthright to rule Nigeria. That's things are not going on well in this country and it will continue to remain that way if we do not divide. Is it foolish that the national conference wanted to create more states when they've not been able to evenly distribute the country to the states already present. Let's take a cue from Sudan and South Sudan, Serbia and kosovo, India and Pakistan and apply it here in Nigeria. A national conference should be held in other to ask Nigerians if they want to remain as one or divide. Let's get on with the division now. Nigeria is surely going to divide. Maybe not now but someday. My opinion is that we should postponing the evil day and get on to it once and for all.

While I'm not entirely opposed to the country as presently constituted dividing, it is my considered that you have not given any worthwhile reason to justify that course of action. What good have the state governors done despite most states in the country being largely homogeneous? What good has a typical LG chairman done despite leading his own kinsmen? Sometimes, I think it is too simplistic to claim that dividing the nation on tribal basis is the solution to her many malaise. LEARNING TO HOLD OUR LEADERS ACCOUNTABLE IS THE KEY. IMO.

Funny all the countries you mentioned all fought a deadly war before they separate. Did they held a National conference? There is nothing like a peaceful separation in Africa that is rubbish! If you really want division you should take up arms against the government and make sure you have the support of a lot of your people. You should be ready to die for your "separation dream". The only country that fits your "National conference blahblah" is Scotland. They held a peaceful referendum on whether to stay in UK or not, at the end what happen? Majority voted to stay even do they are lots of genuine people who want Scotland to leave. As we all know majority always win. Now it is very unlikely for another peaceful referendum to be held ever in Scotland again! Still in europe Spain is stopping Catalonia for carrying out a peaceful referendum. The table would be turned if Catalonia armed against Spain and fight with their last blood. Are you ready to die/kill for your dream? Will you take up arms against the government? Are you willingly to fight with utmost passion and make sure you don't lose? If "No" then say goodbye to your dream.

Make dem divide this countiri, make evribodi go im countiri now. On a serious note, those benefiting heavily in this country would not want such division.

DIARY OF A CURSED AND FRUSTRATED YORUBA DUNCE

I am a yoloba bastard, i feel very pathetic and miserable. I hate Igbos so much because they are very enterprising and independent. They come to lagos and buy up lands and build very big and beautiful houses and are very successful. I want them to go back to Igbo land so that i can claim all their properties and investments, if not i will commit suicide. angry

to be continued...
Chai! cheesycheesy

@johnmartus I'm not obsessed with anything. Left to me I will encourage the Southerners to take up arms and for its separation. Nigeria needs a revolution and a bloody revolution for that matter. So many need and have to die so that Nigeria as a country can grow and become a force to reckon with in world affairs. I encourage separation and will do anything to make sure we divide cos as you can see things are not working.
