Why didn't the Pa micheal build before he died? Tuface can decide to build whenever he wants to build and shouldn't be forced to build, actually he can decide not to build at all. Atleast we know he takes care of his responsibilties and family so maybe his father never wanted him to build when he was alive. And as for his mother telling him not to build, in as much as she denied it, there's nothing wrong with it. She knows these villagers so well and knows that it is of no use now. It is senseless to say she stopped him, she would have stopped him before he even started the foundation of the house. So money constraints stopped him which doesn't make him broke but in his priorities there is no use going out of his way to build a house that nobody will live in at that period of ebola and not to forget that he probably paid all the bill of the burial alone.

Please tell me the name of your village so that I can avoid it like a plague. But seriously villa peeps can really test the limit of one's tolerance. In fairness to my village, they can be very helpful and supportive when it has to do with burial. Even your creditors dares not asked you for their money during that period and the few months that follow. But there are certain areas where you just wanna the trigger on them.

Could be some people are extorting money from 2face building an endless house. Had this experience with a brother at Aba, Abia state who collects money from me every time to buy the same thing. First he said it would cost 300 bags of cement and I sent him money. Next time he called and said an additional 200 would be needed. And I was like how didn't you know it would take 500 bags of cements from beginning?. Still I gave him the benefit of doubts and sent the money for 200 more bags of cements. About a month later he called and said he miscalculated and that the last will be additional 100 bags which I refused to buy. This aside other little-little things. Had to call another of my village guy to go to the site only to find it was all a ripp-off, and wanted to start his own ripp-off. So, now I stopped the project, the only way I can continue is go there in person but I don't have the time. I believe this's what happened to 2face. He must have paid many times over the cost of the building. So, he decided to abandon it because he noticed people are ripping him off, all in the name of a father's house where he may not even sleep for one day.

I remember leaving my dad's whole house for them. They take the rent without asking kobo from them and they still came to ask for money to renovate the house!!!!

the inheritance problem tuface is having now is, all but one of his kids were born out of wedlock.

this kid, incidentally, is the only one whose picture was featured at the burial.

he has intentionally stratified his children for whatever reason, be that as it may, in nigerian culture, I'm not sure its ok to present your last born in the position of the first, even though your last born is from your legally married wife. In addition, his other kid from annie, risks being isolated by virtue of her position, since if he has other kids with her mum, they will also be the kids he had after getting married. His other children are not single, they have siblings who can identify with them.

So, this is a big quandary but nevertheless, since almost all his kids except one are in the same circumstances, he shouldnt hide them or push them backwards while giving the youngest their position.

these are traditional matters which have implied consequences.

not saying it has anything to do with the topic, just giving my opinion.

The mum actually told him that the money he released was enough for a village building. Not like they don't own a house in the villa o! They specifically asked him to build that for the burial. Is Tuface that poor? Just 10bedroom flat in a free land inside the village he can't complete, he's Nigeria's living legend started his music career when the likes of psquare, wizkid and davido are still crawling but this guys buy houses + land in highbrow areas of lagos worth sums that raise eyebrows and he their boss is struggling to build 10bedroom flat in a village. And oh pls spare me the ebola bullshit doesn't he have savings. It's either he's stingy, wicked or he dont wanna build that house for reasons best known him. Thats how all the village Chiefs, Council of Elders, Kinsmen, Age Group, e.t.c. gathered in the compound for a meeting. They started by saying how Grandpa was an Elder, a Chief and a strong Member of the Oba's council. That he cant be buried like that. Next thing was the list of things to be provided before the Man can be buried. Like 4 Cows, yams, Goats, wrappers, fowls, e.t.c. All this na for them o!! Not for the ceremony.. grin

All my Uncles and Popsy just agreed.. Collected the list and say they will start working on it. grin

After they left, My Popsy and his brothers started planning the burial arrangements according to their power.. Next thing, they published Grandpas funeral rites all over the Village.. the Elders started asking how far the Cows and things, popsy and his bros kept telling them not to worry, that it is coming. D-Day arrives.. All 6 Boys (cos Grandpa had only 10 boys.. 4 died during the civil war) dressed up, set up the canopy and venue, got a casket, and started the burial rites o!! 2 of my Crazy uncles had their 12-Guage pump actions with them throughout the funeral.

Come see as Elders discover their sense of humility.. No bloody morrafhucker ask for Cow or Goat sef. Dem no even get mind demand for souvienir, na Abeg dem come dey talk.. grin

So when Grandma passed.. No Baggar dare open mouth talk nonsense.. grin

If you allow people wey no reach to dey push you around, the day dem start to jump ontop your head, make you no surprise.
