DaBullIT:What's all this crap talk about live streaming, data links, and all what not? We are talking about the AH-6 Cobra Attack helicopter, NOT the AH-64 Apache or the B -2 Spirit stealth bomber or some space ship. Again, keep in mind that we've been operating the UH-1 helo for decades, a platform on which the AH-6 was built. Btw, you make it sound as if establishing a data link is something out of this world, when the Nigerian Air Force has been using same for their drones for years now. Don't forget that we've designed and launched our own observation and Communication satellites (delivery vehicles exclusive) in both low earth orbits (LEO) and much farther geosynchronous orbit. |

mmark12:We may not have an airport that looks like Heathrow but we have something worth celebrating. Nigeria is one of the fastest developing countries in the world. Why don't you come over and let me give you a tour round the country? I promise You wouldn't want to go back. Nigeria is on the move. |

revolt:First of all I'm not a mallam and not from the north and I wouldn't have replied you cos I see people that insult others as children. If you read my write up you will see that the place we differ is when it comes to US oweing him. We can decide to build ours but cos Africa keeps depending on them for aids we wouldn't do that so that we won't provoke them. That's why I stated the anti gay law whcih they are not happy with us. We have a long way to go. What about the fact that we are not begging for the aircrafts but buying them? |

GlorifiedTunde:Please, you're the one who has something to prove. I can't go out and look for something I know does not exist. You sure they exist? Then prove it. Not every issue is out there on the web? Please just give me reasons why I should believe those allegations or better still give me reasons why you believe them and I prove to you that your reasons are irrational. |

[/b] bandisandi:USA, and indeed the western world, is afraid of Nigeria's potentials. Their ONLY interest now is to see Nigeria split to pieces in 2015 so that we will no longer be a threat to them. Besides, is there any country USA entered to fight a war and left the country in one piece? Ask Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya etc. Thanks to Nigerian govt for not allowing the USA to come into the country to effect their prediction of 2015 split of Nigeria. |

NaijaDoWell: ![]() IF Nigeria collapses, I pray its does not, Its Nigerians that will be blamed. Nigerians, NOT Americans, elects corrupted politicians; U demand bribes, punish the innocent and sing praises to corrupt politicians, deny freedom, liberty, peace to the innocents; Kill the innocents because for the pursuit wealth, divert money meant for development to private account. WHAT DO U EXPECT THAT ALL WILL BE WELL, BULLSHIT, INTO THIS VACUUM BOKO HARAM, POVERTY, MISERY HAS ARRIVED. |

PhockPhockMan:To whom it may concern, I am not interested in nor affiliated to any party in Nigeria; APC, PDP, they are all the same. I'm yet to see any visionary leader come amongst the politicians you people kill yourselves for. Futhermore, I do not begrudge your choice in wanting GEJ to continue, I only asked to get tangible reasons for wanting him to continue. Lastly, please do not drag me into the shameless political fight going on here, I'm not interested. At the end of the day, whatever choices you guys make come 2015, you all will have to live with it. Note to self: never comment on nairaland, it's full of religious, tribal and political bigots... |

Ichiato:Abeg shut up!! Tell me ONE competent airforce that hasn't experienced an air crash for different reasons. Is it the Americans that have had issues with brown - outs during the 2nd Iraq war resulting in a number of AH-64 Apaches Longbow crashes, or safety issues with the OV-22 Osprey, or CH-47 Chinook crashes as a result of enemy fire in Afghanistan, or one or two OH-58 Kiowas shot down by insurgents in Iraq? Or is it the Russians? Indians? List just one. So why is the Nigerian Air Force any different? |

segnys007:If we had the expertise, we would have made it by now. Designing and building an aircraft from scratch is NOT the same as that for a ground vehicle. |

F117AA:mr oga I'm nt jes addressin the situation I'm addressing a phenomenom. We don't need hitech machines to defeat bh,.. All we need is a few tanks and regular choppers..(Wwii standard). Do u know the cost of buyn it is almost 50times the cost of buildn it? Now like I said we need to start making our weapons instead of blaming US. The US has predicted nigerias brk up and u xpect them to sell armd?!!! Our military budget is enough to assemble tank battalions. The black man should strt fnkn of creatn. Do u think an indian diplomat or chinese will come out cryn another country refused to sell arms.. Its a fool that comes on tv sayn that. No sense of pride. |
