The worst political leaders we have had, is far far productive than their military regime time. Of what hope do we have, that coming out this time as a political leader these time without uniform will be productive or lead us into that promise land?
The most annoying thing, is that, our politicians did not learn the lessons of our military rule in these country, which is why, they still dine and wine with these set of people. During the era of Buhari, it was because of second in command (Idiagbon) the impart of discipline was observed. He is only taking the glory now.

I am a pensioner yet, confuse about who Nigerians are. . As Tambuwal showed up, things just turn down ward for Buhari. Nigerians cannot be judged accurately. They, are neither there nor here. Sanusi and their likes should have known that Buhari is out of fashion, especially these days. They refused to inform him until when Tambuwal surfaces. This means that if Buhari is allowed to contest and come out as a failure, these set of Sanusis' will go to court, will protest, cause trouble and can even cause deaths since it is in their DNA and as Islamists, whereas it is clear in their inner mine that Buhari cannot win elections now. Why are the hausa like this? Always aiming at causing trouble etc?

The attention of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has been drawn to statements from Generals Muhammadu Buhari and Ibrahim Babangida purporting to be responses to the advice he gave both men to retire.

Since Babangida libelled whole generations of Nigerian youth as being unfit for leadership, age has become an issue in the coming elections. While it is true that neither youth nor age supplies wisdom on their own, it makes sense to ask those who have been recurring decimals in our country’s sorry history to leave the stage. That is all El-Rufai asked of these men who seem to think that their failure to do their best for Nigeria when they had the chance qualifies them for a return to office. Our people surely deserve better.

El-Rufai is amazed that General Buhari cannot debate this matter without scurrying to the gutter, making claims that are baseless and unsupported by any facts. Mallam El-Rufai’s tenure as FCT minister was a period of stellar performance in remaking our federal capital. Despite the difficult decisions that had to be taken to restore Abuja, Mallam El-Rufai continues to receive deserved praise and recognition for his achievements in restoring the Abuja master plan, introducing Nigeria’s first computerised land registry and helping thousands of Nigerians achieve their dreams of home ownership in the federal capital. Buhari is perhaps one of a tiny few blinded by their prejudice from recognising the quality of El Rufai’s service.

That same prejudice accounts for the baseless claims of corruption Buhari levels against El Rufai. The fact is that Mallam El-Rufai served Nigeria with integrity and has never been convicted of any corrupt act. He is boldly contesting the false charges which the Yar’Adua government filed against him in court. It is strange that a Buhari who protests when unproven claims of N2.5 billion (about US $3billion in those days!) missing oil funds are levelled against him can gleefully elevate similar claims into facts when it concerns another. How would Buhari feel if the corruption allegations made against him by Group Captain Usman Jibrin, then a board member of PTF, are today reported as if they were proven facts? So much for “corrupt background” and “shoddy performance”.

Some people attribute bad motives, some think he made a big mistake. I think the truth is somewhere in-between but what Nigeria is going through right now is a direct result of decisions and actions, omission or commission by President Obasanjo, no doubt about it.”

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi himself is just an fanatical as Buhari. It still beat my imagination that Emir Sanusi was ones the CBN gov. SLS is a loss cause. An economic prof with one of the most prestigious University in the country ones said that Nigeria will live to regret the actions of SLS visavis the Nigerian economy. He describes the CBN policies under SLS as time bombs waiting to explode to ravage the economy in future. The prof even went ahead and stated that late President Musa Yar'adua's appointment of SLS as Gov of CBN is the worse mistake ever! SLS was never fit to be CBN gov.
Well, not many people gave the prof a chance. Many thought he was a drunk seeking attention. Now am beginning to see what the prof saw seven years ago.

Secondly u just put the personalities of GMB and GEJ into to perspective taking the pain of reading the entire article by SLS which for reasons best known to u have to wait till later to post in full the only reason SLS was not too receptive to GMB presidency then was because he blv it is not given that he can replicate his success in 1983 and that there is a need for a new set of leaders.

with d benefits of hindsight am sure SLS had realised the fallacy of the assumption that a young and fresh face would necessarily bring the desired change.

I pray nay i dare anyone post an article that can succinctly describe GEJ's policy after 4 yrs in power the way and manner GMB's 18 months in power can be explained.

I haven't seen Buhari‘s portrait on a bag of rice. I can't imagine Buhari or his backers hiring crowds to model for his political appearance. Unemployed youths won't be paid their gratuities with bags of rice on their heads. Buhari gives us reason to vote.

In the fortnight so following Eid el-Adha, two incidents occurred that have compelled me once more to write on Buharism, this time with a sense of urgency and near desperation. The first was an interview that the former civilian Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Abdukadir Balarabe Musa gave Tell magazine, in which he dismissed General Muhammadu Buhari as a fascist who, by virtue of that fact, was incapable of reforming Nigeria. In this piece I will analyze this categorization and expatiate on the nature and implications of Buharism as fascism. I will for now only note that when asked whom he would choose between Obasanjo and Buhari, the radical PRP governor could only hope that “it does not come to that”. In a naïve, somewhat amusing manner, he pretends away the reality that Nigerians today have only one serious choice to make for all intents and purposes; and that choice is between Obasanjo, who by Balarabe Musa’s own admission has betrayed his supporters and been a complete failure and disappointment on the one hand, and Buhari, who according to Musa is a fascist, on the other hand. We have to choose, like it or not, between a failure and a fascist. What choice must the progressive politician or analyst make? History, in throwing up the question, demands an answer. Balarabe Musa’s refusal to make a choice was, as we shall see, telling in more than one respect.

The final analysis, progressives must make a choice between four more years of Obasanjo/Atiku on the one hand, and Buhari on the other. History demands of us that we make that choice and history will judge us appropriately. As for me, I have made my choice. Buhari is not perfect, but he has my vote.

A simple example is what you see happening in Osun State which is almost like a blueprint where even children are entitled to lunch; they are entitled to one meal a day from the government.
